Snipping Tool

Published by SuperCheats Staff on Nov 1st 2013
Snipping Tool is used to capture screenshots or take a part of your current screen and use it as a picture. Here is how to run and use it.

How to use the Snipping Tool:

  1. Click on the Windows button on the lower left edge of the screen and click on All Programs find and click the Accessories folder then click on Snipping Tool.

  2. Guide Image

  3. The Snipping tool should show up then click on New. The drop down box will show different kinds of Snips which are Rectangular, Free-form, Window and Full-Screen Snip. The default Snip should be Rectangular.

  5. Highlight a part of the screen and this window should pop-up. I used a part of my wallpaper as an example. Here, you can either create a New Snip, Save, Copy or Email the Image. There are different editing tools which are the pen, highlight and the eraser.

  7. If you choose save, you need to put in a filename and press OK to save your Image.
