How to fix Windows Not Starting After Sleep Mode

Some users have encountered problems starting their Windows 7 machine after putting them to sleep. This issue seems to be caused by the Hybrid Sleep option that sets the computer to sleep mode but stores a hibernate file in case of power loss. This article will help you enable Hibernate in your Desktop computer to solve the issue.


  • Go to Control Panel and open Power Options.

  • Select the Power Plan you're using then select Change Plan Settings.

  • Set the Put the Computer to Sleep option to Never then select Change advanced power settings.

  • Scroll down to the Sleep option then set "Allow hybrid sleep" to off.
