Fly to central Lumiose City. The next area will mostly have Fighting, Dark and Poison-type Pokémon. Pack your potions as there will be a lot of battles ahead. From the Pokémon Center, head south to Magenta Plaza and enter the Lysandre Café. The Waiter and Waitress here will challenge you to battles.

Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: P1,840)

  • LV46 Scrafty (Dark/Fighting)

Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: P1,840)

  • LV46 Liepard (Dark)

Inspect the shelf behind the waitress to enter the lab.

Guide Image

As you enter the lab, you will be challenged by Lysandre to a battle.

Team Flare Lysandre (Prize Money: P9,800)

  • LV45 Mienfoo (Fighting)
  • LV49 Gyarados (Water/Flying)
  • LV45 Murkrow (Dark/Flying)
  • LV47 Pyroar (Fire/Normal)

Guide Image

After you defeat him, he will tell you that you would have to explore the lab and battle with everyone. In order to proceed, you will have to look for one of the scientists that has the key to the elevator.

In this area, you will have to step on directional arrows to get from one place to another. You will spin out of control and will not be able to regain control until you hit something. Think of it as something similar to the icy floors of Frost Cavern.

Head to the and battle with the first grunt. After defeating her, take the portal.

Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: P1,840)

  • LV46 Swalot (Poison)

The portal will lead to the first Scientist, Aliana.

Team Flare Aliana (Prize Money: P6,720)

  • LV46 Mightyena (Dark)
  • LV48 Druddigon (Dragon)

Guide Image

After defeating her, she will let you pass. The yellow portal to the right will send you back to the entrance while the green portal to the left will take you to the next area. Step on the tile until you stop spinning then challenge the grunt.

Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: P1,720)

  • LV45 Swalot
(Poison)
  • LV43 Liepard (Dark)
  • Enter the room behind the grunt to see our favorite masked heroes. They will give you Revives(x3)

    Guide Image

Leave the room then step on the tile to the right of the grunt. You will have no choice but to go south form here. Talk to the grunt up north for a battle, then head to the right (don’t step on the tiles) then up to challenge another grunt to the right.

Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: P1,760)

    • LV44 Liepard (Dark)
    • LV44 Mightyena (Dark)

Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: P1,760)

    • LV44 Houndoom (Dark/Fire)
    • LV44 Toxicroak (Poison/Fighting)

Take the tile to the right and you will be sent spinning to several tiles. Once you stop, take the tile to the right again, and you will be sent spinning until you stop in front of a grunt.

Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: P1,800)

    • LV43 Manectric (Electric)
    • LV45 Scrafty (Dark/Fighting)

Enter the room at the back to battle two more scientists. They will fight you one at a time this time, instead of doing a double battle.

    Guide Image

Team Flare Celosia (Prize Money: P6,720)

    • LV46 Manectric (Electric)
    • LV48 Drapion (Poison/Dark)

If you don’t move fast, Manectric can be a nuisance. It will either use Thunder Wave or just plain paralyze your Pokémon with its ability, Static. As for Drapion, its only weakness is Ground-type moves.

Team Flare Bryony (Prize Money: P6,720)

    • LV44 Liepard (Dark)
    • LV48 Bisharp (Dark/Steel)

Liepard should be easy to take down. Bisharp, on the other hand, will be tougher. It has high attack and will hurt if it manages to attack you. Fighting-type moves are best used against it as it is extremely weak to them (x4 damage).

After defeating the two, they will tell you facts about Route 10 and what happened during the war 3,000 years ago. Exit the room and take the left tile going down. Ignore the other tiles in this area and walk to the west then south. Follow the path until you reach a portal. Pick up the Black Glasses as soon as you reach this area. This is a held item that boosts Dark-type moves. Head north a bit for a battle with a grunt.

Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: P1,800)

    • LV43 Mightyena (Dark)
    • LV45 Toxicroak (Poison/Fighting)

Use the portal to the left then head into the room to the north. Pick up the Rare Candy at the back then exit. Ignore the tiles to the left for now and take the portal back to the previous area and step on the tile to the left this time. You will end back at the area where you defeated Celosia and Bryony. Take the tile to the right of the grunt, the tile going south and enter the portal once you stop.

Pick up the Hyper Potion then warp back to the previous area.

    Guide Image

Take the east tile that heads south then continue to the right to battle the grunt. Be careful not to step on the warp at the corner and take the portal to the next area.

Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: P1,840)

    • LV46 Golbat (Poison/Flying)

Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: P1,760)

    • LV44 Toxicroak (Poison/Fighting)
    • LV44 Liepard (Dark)

Head east and enter the room to battle one more scientist.

Team Flare Mable (Prize Money: P6,720)

    • LV46 Houndoom (Dark/Fire)
    • LV48 Weavile (Dark/Ice)

You shouldn’t have a problem with this battle, just use Fighting-type moves and you should be all set. After the bettle, exit and head back to the portal to the west. Head to the west until you see the elevator area. Step on the tile going south to reach the elevator area.

It is up to you if you want to proceed or head back to the Pokémon Center to replenish your supplies and heal your Pokémon. Once you are ready, take the elevator to B2. Follow the path down the stairs to the left until you trigger a scene.

You will find out more details about the war, and find out what the tall guy’s name is. Lysandre will ask you to follow him to his chambers. Head back to the elevator and go to B3. Take the stairs up to see Lysandre talking to one of his other scientists. Watch the scene and Lysandre will leave, and the scientist will challenge you to a battle.

    Guide Image

Team Flare Xerosic (Prize Money: P6,720)

    • LV46 Crobat (Poison/Flying)
    • LV48 Malamar (Dark/Psychic)

Crobat is fast but not really defensive. Take it down with a Rock-type or Electric type move and it should go down fast. Malamar will be a bit harder as it is weak to only two types: Bug and Fairy. It is extremely weak against Bug-type moves (x4 damage) so send a Pokémon with a Bug-type move if possible.

After the battle, he will tell you to push one of the buttons behind him. The red one does not activate the weapon, but it does not matter anyway as he will activate the weapon anyway. You will then witness the unraveling of the weapon in Geosenge Town.

Leave the lab by taking the elevator to B1 and exit up the stairs to the south, then make your way to Geosenge Town.
