Blazikenite

This comes along with the free Torchic, a bonus Pokemon upon purchasing X and Y. To get it, you must be connected to the internet. In the Main Menu, select Mystery Gift > Receive Gift > via Internet. Next, visit a Pokemon Center and talk to the woman beside the nurse. You must have at least one slot free in your current party to receive Torchic. It is holding the mega stone upon receiving.

Blastoisite

You’ll receive this when you choose Squirtle as your second starter as given by Prof. Sycamore. If you chose a different starter, you can still purchase this from a gentleman in the Stone Emporium in Lumiose City. At first, he will ask for 1,000,000 but keep earning “Style Points” and it will become considerably lower.

Charizardite X/Y

The version you’ll receive depends on the game you have. You’ll receive this when you choose Charmander as your second starter as given by Prof. Sycamore. If you chose a different starter, you can still purchase this from a gentleman in the Stone Emporium in Lumiose City. At first, he will ask for 1,000,000 but keep earning “Style Points” and it will become considerably lower.

If you chose a different starter, you can still purchase this from a gentleman in the Stone Emporium in Lumiose City. Story-Related / NPC Items

These are the mega stones you’ll get by talking to NPCs or as part of the story. You can get these before defeating the Elite Four and the Champion.

Abomasite

After rescuing the Abomasnow from Team Flare in the Frost Cavern, talk to it to receive this stone.

Aerodactylite

After completing the Glittering Cave, go back to Ambrette Town. Talk to the scientist in the right side of the fossil Lab to receive this.

Ampharosite

At the end of Route 12 and before reaching the docks of Coumarine City, surf north to the sea then west to reach Azure Bay. Straight in the middle is an island where there’s a fisherman and an old man. Talk to the old geezer to receive this stone.

Gengarite

Find the Hex Maniac in the northwest portion of Lavarre City and talk to her to get this stone.

Lucarionite

After defeating Korrina in the story-related battle on top of the Tower of Mastery, she’ll offer you to keep the Lucario you borrowed. Keep it and it will be carrying a lucarionite.

Post-Game

(After defeating the Elite Four and Grand Duchess)

You need to upgrade your Mega Ring first in Anistar City before you can find the hidden mega stones in Kalos. Refer to the Kiloude City walkthrough to learn more.

Absolite

After completing the game once, you’ll be advised to meet up with Prof. Sycamore in Lumiose Station. Talk to him to receive the TMV Pass. Use it to board the train leading to Kiloude City. Once there, win at least one battle in the Battle Maison building then head to the northernmost part of the city. You’ll find your rival/neighbor there. Defeat him/her in the battle to receive the mega stone.

Aggronite

This is found only in pokemon y and must be searched between 8PM-9PM. From the entrance of the gym, climb the wall and head to the right. As the camera rotates, climb the wall to the right again, to the direction of the waterfall. You should see a glittering portion at the dead end. Examine it to get the mega stone.

Alakazite

Access the Reflecting Cave from Shalour City and go downstairs to the right. In the next room, head east a bit then south, past the trainer. You'll immediately see two stairs; head to the left and go downstairs. In the next room, head to the north until you reach the mirror wall then head left. Once you see the reflection of an opening, go the south twice until you exit the small chamber. Go to the left and you'll find an empty space where a beam of light is shining on a glittering object on the ground. Pick up the mega stone there.

Banettite

This is one of the mega stones you'll only find between 8PM to 9PM. You need a Pokemon that knows Surf and Waterfall to reach this. Head to Santalune City and exit to Route 22. Follow the path until you reach the entrance to the Victory Road. There should be a river to the south where you can surf on. Ride the waterfall down and get off on the flower patch to the right. Enter the Chamber of Emptiness to the right to find a Spooky Plate in the middle of the chamber and the mega stone glittering to the northern wall.

Garchompite

This is one of the mega stones you'll only find between 8PM to 9PM. You'll also need Rock Smash to access it. Travel to Snowbelle City or Santalune City then head to the Victory Road. If you've created the shortcut as indicated in this guide's walkthrough, you can just head to the location of the mega stone easily.

After entering the first cave, head north and take the shortcut that will take you to the upper side of the mountain with ancient ruins. Go past the patrolling fairy tale girl and use Rock Smash on the breakable wall to the left. You'll find the Garchompite shining at the base of an ancient tower.

Gardevoirite

After completing the game, visit Café Soleil to find Diantha. Talk to her and she’ll trade her female Ralts to any Pokemon you have. The Ralts you’ll receive will be carrying this mega stone.

Gyaradosite

This is one of the mega stones you'll only find between 8PM to 9PM. Head east of the hotel then go north to reach the smaller waterfalls. You'll see the glittering mega stone in the middle waterfall to the north.

Kangaskhanite

This is one of the mega stones you'll only find between 8PM to 9PM. Fly to Ambrette Town then exit to Route 9 – Spikes Passage. Ride the Rhyhorn to reach the Glittering Caves. Once inside, follow the path and turn to the first right. You'll find the mega stone at the end of the path.

Heracronite

This is found only in pokemon y. This is one of the mega stones you'll only find between 8PM to 9PM. Enter Santalune Forest from Route 2 then head north past the middle tree. Head to the left and you'll see a beam of light shining near some white flowers. The mega-stone should be there in the corner.

Houndoomite

This is found only in pokemon y and this is one of the mega stones you'll only find between 8PM to 9PM. Go to Dendemille Town and exit to Route 15. Once there, go south to reach Route 16 and follow the path until you reach an off-road path where there are two skaters skating around. The mega stone is found in the middle of the center-hill.

Manectite

This is found only in pokemon x and this is one of the mega stones you'll only find between 8PM to 9PM. Go to Dendemille Town and exit to Route 15. Once there, go south to reach Route 16 and follow the path until you reach an off-road path where there are two skaters skating around. The mega stone is found in the middle of the center-hill.

This is found only in pokemon x. This is one of the mega stones you'll only find between 8PM to 9PM. Enter Santalune Forest from Route 2 then head north past the middle tree. This is one of the mega stones you'll only find between 8PM to 9PM. You'll find it in front of the well in Lavarre City.

Scizorite

Head inside the Frost Cavern and go to the last chamber where Abomasnow is located. Examine the fairly visible glitter behind it to get this mega-stone.

Tyranitarite

This is found only in pokemon x and must be searched between 8PM-9PM. From the entrance of the gym, climb the wall and head to the right. Mewtwonite X/Y

After completing the game, return to the Pokemon Village and enter the cave to the west side of the area. You need surf to reach the entrance of the Unknown Cave. Get inside and you’ll find Mewtwo. Capture it and you'll find the mega stone on the ground after the battle.
