You will need to ride a Rhyhorn to pass this route. There will be one waiting for you, just approach it to ride. If you want to dismount, just press B.
Keep going straight and press A to destroy rocks that are blocking your path. Go to the left to obtain X Defense
Go back to the Rhyhorn and continue forward. Head east and clear your path for a Paralyze Heal.
There is a path that is easy to miss near here which leads to a Fire Stone.
Head back to the fork and take the other path. There is an NPC to the left that will heal your Pokémon. Behind her is a Super Repel hidden in a rock.
Ignore the cave entrance for now and ride onwards for a Dusk Ball. Go around to the left, up the stairs for a Sky Battle.

Head back to the cave entrance to continue to the Glittering Cave.
