The Pokedex Challenges

There are a total of three Pokedex Challenges - the first is to SEE all of the Pokemon in the Unova Dex, the second is to COLLECT all of the Pokemon in the Unova Dex, and finally the third is to COLLECT all of the Pokemon in the National Dex.

(1) See all of the Pokemon in the Unova Dex: for this challenge you only have to see the regular (not the Legendary) Pokemon. See means obtaining a partial entry in your Pokedex. You can actually accomplish this by collecting all of the Pokemon for this version that you can collect (which you should have been able to do as long as you followed this guide) and then battled all of the trainers you can, as they allow you to see the Pokemon from the opposite version.

Once you have a partial entry in your Dex for each of the Pokemon, head to the Professor's Lab which is located in Nuvema Town and show her your Dex, at which point she will give you your reward, which is the permit that is required for you to fly to the Pokemon Nature Preserve, which is where you will find some very special Pokemon.

(2) Collect all of the Pokemon in the Unova Dex: this one is a bit more difficult since you will either need to have a mate with Pokemon Black 2 for you to trade for the version exclusive Pokemon in that game, or via the GTS you can trade for them, and you will need the Pokemon Dream Radar game in order to capture the three Legendary from that.

Note that in this instance they really mean ALL of the Pokemon - including the three Legendary Pokemon Tornadus, Thunderus and Landorus.

Once you have them all you can visit the Professor's Lab to show her your Dex and collect the reward.

(3) Collect all of the Pokemon from the National Dex: this one is a LOT harder and I do not expect that most players will every unlock it, since it requires a massive amount of effort. Still if you do manage somehow to collect them all, well then bring yourself to the Lab and show the Professor your Dex to grab this final challenge reward.
