The Legendary Collection Hunt

Thank you for printing this page from www.SuperCheats.com. Remember to come back to check for updates to this guide and much more content for Pokemon White 2

Added:

At this point we have arrived in a place where collecting the Legendary Pokemon for the Unova Region makes a lot of sense. Assuming that you have used the GTS to obtain one of each of the other starters (or traded with mates) you are well on your way to having completed the first goal, which is having seen all of the Unova Pokemon, and your second, which is to have captured them all.

The Legendary Pokemon are not supposed to count for that set of challenges, but since we can get them well then we should! Before we set off on that quest though, we need to address the dream that Hugh's little sister had, since that is the starting place for this quest.

Seeking Zoroark to find N and Reshiram

Remember the odd Pokemon on the upper part of Victory Road that was blocking the cave entrance and the game told us it was guarding something? That was Zoroark! The same Zoroark that was in Hugh's little sister's dream.

Fly to the Pokemon League and then head south, and as you head down the mountain take the right-hand stairs (you will see him as he has moved away from the cave entrance) and now would be a good time to save your game!

When you confront him he runs away into the cave he was guarding before – so run after him! When you get inside he is nowhere to be seen, so head down the stairs and out the exit... There he is! But when you confront him he runs away again! Chase after him!

Inside he seems to be waiting, but when you approach he runs yet again – and the place he is running to looks oddly familiar... In fact it looks like N's Castle! And N is waiting inside! Whoa!

After you chat with him he tells you that you need to battle with him, that he was waiting here specifically to battle with you! He asks you to lead him to the destination – which is south, east, north, around up and north – so you do!

When you get to the top of the area N stops you and challenges you to a battle! He calls forth Reshiram, and the mighty Legendary Pokemon is there! He asks if we are prepared to battle – well yeah! Why do you think we came here?!

Now remember we do not have to capture this beast here, we just have to incap it – and that is a hell of a lot easier than capturing it!

Because it is a Dragon Pokemon his Level 70 Reshiram is particularly vulnerable to Ice-type attacks – and that is the secret to quickly taking it out!

After you do that, N pays you $14000 for this lesson, and then he does something shocking! He tells Reshiram to help YOU – and then it turns into a Light Stone ball! N takes it and hands it to you, explaining that you need to take it to Dragonspiral Tower...

I know, you are thinking – where is Zoroark?!

Zoroark - Not

You will probably not be happy to learn that Zoroark was a special event Pokemon... And the special event was for Pokemon Black and Pokemon White, and not THIS game.

Basically several years ago if you obtained one of the Shiny Legendary Pokemon Raikou, Entei, or Suicune for the Generation IV games, during a special distribution event – in North America it was at GameStops – you could then transfer that Pokemon into your copy of Pokemon Black Version or Pokemon White Version to get Zoroark.

In the Lostlorn Forest where we first saw Zoroark there was a trailer and that was where you captured it. Sadly you cannot capture it in Black 2 or White 2, and sadly just seeing him like you did does NOT add his Dex entry to your Pokedex – not even a partial – which means you cannot go on the GTS and trade for him.

In theory the only way to get it is to either have it on your copy of Black/White or find a trainer that is either willing to trade you one or is willing to temporarily trade you one so you can add it to your Dex... But that does not take into account the Zorua that we were gifted with long ago near Driftveil City!

To obtain Zoroark and add them to your Dex all that you need to do is level that Zorua to Level 30 and voila! Instant Zoroark. You can do that now - or later - but you will want to do it eventually.

So now that we have Reshiram and know how to get Zoroark, it is time to head to the Dragonspiral Tower.

On your way out if you did not grab it before be sure to grab the Treasure Ball with TM50 Overheat in it.

Once you are outside, Fly to Icirrus City and then head north and zone through the trees to find Cedric Juniper waiting for you...

He is speculating on the Tower when he notices you, and tells you about the history of the place – and then he notices your Light Stone! He then gifts you with an Old Gateau, and takes off. Well, what are you waiting for?

Dragonspiral Tower

As you work your way through the Tower you will encounter some Golurk, and some Treasure Balls with an Elixir, an Ultra Ball, a Shiny Stone, and a Protein, a Lusterous Orb, Griseous Orb, and Adamant Orb.

On the spiral level is a Treasure Ball with a PP Max, TM02 Dragon Claw, and a Max Revive.

On the next level up is a Treasure Ball with a Comet Shard, and then you head up the stairs for the confrontation you have been waiting for!

As you remove the Light Stone you see it expand into Reshiram – so go ahead and capture this guy the regular way, adding him to your collection!

Capturing it is rather easy actually, and after you do, N shows up to confirm for you that Reshiram has recognized you as the new hero, and then he tells you about the return of Kyurem in The Giant Chasm.

N departs after delivering that news, and it is time for you to head for Humilau City and make for The Giant Chasm!

Kyurem

When you arrive at The Giant Chasm you will find Kyurem waiting for you in the center of the area... Just capture him in the usual way, weakening him and then throwing balls until he is captured.

The process should be about on par with the battle for Reshiram.

With the battle over Cheren and Bianca show up and remind you that you still have a lot of Pokemon to capture!

Be sure you grab the Treasure Ball here – it is the DNA Splicers and they can be used to change Reshiram's form.

Onward Through the Fog to another Legendary!

We are getting close to having completed the bulk of the special captures of the aftergame, and we should stay on track here! Fly to Striation City, heal, re-supply if you need to, and save at the Pokemon Center, and then head for the Dreamyard here!

Latias

When you go inside you will be jumped by the Legendary Pokemon Latias, who will then run off!

You need to immediately chase after and catch up to him in order to do battle and capture him... How you do that is run in the direction that he heads in until you encounter him again a few times – when you end up on the top of the broken floor and all the way to the east (right) side, when you step to the very end he will appear and engage you! Just weaken and capture him as usual...

After you capture it be sure to grab the Treasure Ball that drops behind you – it has the special Hold Item for Latias – called a Soul Dew – that you should recall from the previous generation when this Legendary was introduced to the world of Pokemon with that special hold item...

It would probably be a good idea to head to the Pokemon Center, heal, re-supply, and give the Soul Dew to Latias before sorting it into the Legendary Box. That way you know that the right Pokemon has the item.

With that managed, it is time to continue our path to collecting the Legendary Pokemon of Unova!

The Pixie Trio

To begin the process of capturing the trio of pixie Pokemon you first need to Fly to Floccesy Town, and then head out onto Route 20, as we are headed for the Cave of Being which is off Route 20!

To reach the Cave you need to head along Route 20 to the lower area and then Surf along the river back towards town, head up the waterfall, and follow the river until you reach the island with the cave entrance on it.

Hop on to the shore and head inside the cave, where you encounter Professor Juniper, who is looking around – after you talk to her and then step forward you are approached by one of the pixies – Uxie – then Mesprit, and finally Azelf! Excellent! After confronting you the trio flies off – and we need to hunt them down...

Uxie

Right so for our first capture we need to Fly to Nacrene City and then head to the front of the Museum there, and then carefully step on the tile in the very center of the open circle of concrete in front of the door, as when we do we are prompted to confirm the special encounter – say Yes – and then capture Uxie!

Mesprit

For Mesprit we need to Fly to Mistralton City and then head up Route 7 to reach the Celestial Tower, where we will climb to the roof and stand on the tile that is in the middle of the bottom of the stairs leading up to the bell, at which point we must confirm the special encounter (say Yes) and Mesprit appears. Capture it in the usual way!

Azelf

The third and final pixie Pokemon is located off of Route 23 so Fly to the Victory Road entrance, and then head south to where the Ranger is and left (west) through the grass, Cut the tree, and you will find just ahead a small raised area with the short set of steps leading up to it; go up and you will trigger the spawn question – say Yes – and Azelf apears! Capture it in the usual way.

Going After the Regi's

Right mates, so our next Adventure is a major one – we are going after the Regi's: Regirock, Registeel, Regice, and the awesome and elusive Regigigas! So to start off you need to Fly to Driftveil City and then head up to the north and you will find that the Clay Tunnel is now open! Excellent as that is where we need to go!

In addition to a few trainer battles, you will also find Wild Pokemon down here, including Boldore, Durant, Nosepass, and Onix, which you should already have... As well as Lairon,

To proceed here you have to have a Pokemon that knows Rock Smash, but in White 2 that is a TM, not an HM, and it is a move we own, so go ahead and teach one of your team the move, then talk to the workers at the end of the tunnel and the rocks get smashed through teamwork! Good on ya!

As you make your way through the area having trainer battles and pushing the odd boulder into the odd pit, you will eventually reach the first puzzle area.

Note that if you reach Twist Mountain you have gone the wrong way...

Bear in mind that you can ride the manned mine carts to the different areas – and you should ride the two that lead to the blocked off area with the two pits and boulders, and push those in to open the path and collect the Green Shard and Rare Bone from the Treasure Balls that you access that way. Use the eastern cart and then head south and take the next east cart.

When you arrive in the next area Surf north and zone to the next area, push the boulder, then take the north cart, push the boulder ahead but then use the northeast passage to zone, head north and you will reach the main chamber outside the ruins. Head through the large doors (they open for you) and you will be able to read some clues on the statues here.

Regirock

Basically this IS the Puzzle Chamber, but you have to decipher the clues to activate it. Return to the huge double doors you entered by and stand in the center of the circle, then carefully move six steps south, and nine steps to the east – then hit the Action Button (A) to trigger the switch. Now return to the room above through the doors and you will find that the rocks are gone and the Puzzle has been revealed. You will know it is correctly configured because the circle will change to a red ring.

I don't know how this worked out for you mates, but for me this was another real heartbreaker of a capture session, and it required nearly 90 minutes of throwing ball after ball after ball before I was finally able to capture this *******.

I have no idea why they do this – I mean making it difficult to capture is one thing, but making it drag on and on and on like this? After I finally captured it I was so disgusted with the game that I had to take a break from it or risk hating it. No game should ever do that to you – if a game contains content that ends up making you strongly dislike the game play process, the people who made it did something terribly wrong.

After you capture Regirock you will receive the Iceberg Key, which unlocks the Iceberg Chamber, and which then allows you to change the puzzle to reveal Regice!

Regice and Registeel

In Black 2 capturing Regirock gets you the Iron Key, which is the special item that is required to alter the puzzle chamber in order to catch Registeel. In White 2 you get the Iceberg KZey tho, so to change the chamber over to the Iceberg Chamber and capture Regice head back to the door and pass through, save your game then quit to the main menu.

Access the Unova Link and then select Key System. Select Key System Settings, then Mystery Door, and you will notice that the current setting is Rock Peak Chamber, and that of the two remaining settings, Iron Chamber is locked, while Iceberg Chamber is not.

Select Iceberg Chamber and the game is automatically saved, at which point the Iceberg Chamber is now set as the default for the puzzle. Choose Back, then Back, then Back again two more times to have the game reset to the main menu again. Go back into the game and you will see that the circle has changed color from red to blue.

Head inside and make your way to the end and you will find the new Pokemon - Regice - waiting for you! Capture them in the usual way, and well done you!

Now you need to find a mate who has Black 2 and access the Unova Link with them, and trade keys. Once you have the Iron Key, change the puzzle to get the silver ring, head in, and capture Rigisteel the same way that you did with Regice.

With that bit of mischief handled you will need to leave (or use an Escape Rope) and head to the Pokemon Center to adjust your team so that you have all three of the Regi's in it. You may as well sort out the other Legendary Pokemon into their proper slots in the Legendary boxes now as well.

Once you have done that, it is time to head to the basement of Twist Mountain!

Regigigas

Once you have obtained all three of the Regi's – Regirock, Registeel, and Regice, you need to place them in your team and then head to the basement of Twist Mountain where the three statues are located, you will then raise Regigigas and be able to capture them.

To do this, make your way through the main entrance to the lower area where the Ice Rock is located past the heavy machinery - that is the area with the boulders you have to push into holes - and once you clear the path by pushing the boulders into the holes you will find Rigigigas waiting for you above!

Capture it in the usual way to add this most rare of the Legendary Pokemon to your collection.

Heatran

The final Legendary that is on our list is #485 Heatran – and to obtain this bugger you need to have obtained the Magma Stone, which is situated in the cliffs off of Route 18, which is located to the east of Nuvema Town – so use Fly to jet your way there.

If you need to heal your team, you can actually visit the home of the Trainer you played in Black/White – for a brief moment the Mum there will think you are that trainer – her son/daughter – but then will realize you are not and, once she gets a good look at you, will recognize you since she knows your Mum and you as a child. Once you get that dialogue out of the way, you can chat her up and she will heal your team.

To get to your destination take the north exit onto Route 1 and, at the first patch of grass head west and Surf along the river here to the shore, head south and west and you will reach the route and the gate! Head on through and you are on then Surf across to Route 18, and be sure to turn on your Dowser.

There is a Rest House on the upper levels of the route and those are where you will find the target as well, so work your way through to the Rest House, rest, then make your way to the second cliff section north of it and grab the Magma Stone from the Treasure Ball.

Once you have the Stone Fly to Undella Town and hit the Center to heal and re-supply as needed, save your game and then take the west road and enter Reversal Mountain, then locate the cave that Bianca pointed out before and, when you go in, you are prompted to place the Stone, at which point Heatran appears. Simply weaken and catch them and you have now captured the last of the Legendary Pokemon! Well done!

Tornadus/Thundurus/Landorus

Unlike the previous Legendary Pokemon whose capture was pretty straight forward (including the reggies really) this trio is not a straight forward catch and collect due to the fact that there are two ways to go about obtaining them, and one way has specific and desirable advantages over the other, despite the fact that you have to spend additional money and use a different game to obtain them. Bear with me for a moment while I explain...

The two methods for capturing them - the first is to capture the one for the original games, Pokemon Black and Pokemon White (they do NOT appear in Black 2 / White 2) - which in this case means that if you do not already own one or the other you will have to purchase them both, since you need to collect both and it is basically one to a game.

Pokemon Black has Tornadus, which is found randomly roaming in the morning on Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 14, 15, and 16, and roaming in the evening on Routes 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13.

Pokemon White has Thundurus, which is found roaming in the morning on Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 14, 15, and 16, and roaming in the evening on Routes 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13.

After you catch them both in each game, you trade one of them to the other game, put them both in your party, and visit the shrine to obtain Landorus.

The thing about obtaining them this way though is that if/when you obtain the Reveal Glass, which is an object that allows you to change their forms between Incarnate and Therian forms, the ones you obtained via Black and White and the Shrine will be in Incarnate form, and you don't get the Reveal Glass.

The ones you capture using Dream Radar for the 3DS are in Therian form and, when you bring them to the Shrine you will then be given the Reveal Glass as a result.

The thing is, while the ones you get via Black/White can be changed into their Therian forms once you use a Therian Form from Dream Radar to obtain the Reveal Glass, when you change the forms of the ones obtained by the method above they do NOT retain their hidden ability.

The ones you obtain from the second method below, via Dream Radar DO retain their hidden ability when changing forms, and what is more significant, the ones you obtain via Dream Radar HAVE their hidden ability automatically, whereas the ones from the method above may not.

The second method for obtaining the trio is to use the Pokemon Dream Radar 3DS game (a downloadable game that is purchased in the 3DS store), through which you can actually capture all three by simply working your way through that game.

For the details on how you do that, please read the Pokemon Dream Radar section of our guide.

If you do not own a 3DS your only option is to use the first way, but that does mean having copies of both Black and White...
