Valkyrie Elysium Walkthrough and Guide by Paul (vhayste)
Thank you for printing this page from to come back to check for updates to this guide and much more content for Valkyrie Elysium
A divine weapon to smite unholy foes is an integral part of a Valkyrie’s arsenal. Valkyrie has access to two weapon types: one-handed swords and polearms. She will start with her trusted blade, Alfodr but during the course of the game, she’ll be able to obtain a variety of different swords and polearms, each with their own moveset and property. In our Weapon List, we will list down all weapons available at Valkyrie’s disposal and how you can obtain them.

Valkyrie Elysium is the latest title of the renowned Valkyrie series. Play as the Valkyrie as she purifies the land from evil in a collapsing world as Ragnarok looms. Summon the souls of chosen warriors called Einherjars to assist you in combat and unleash the power of Divine Arts to smite your foes.

As mentioned above, Valkyrie can use one-handed swords and polearms. Her default weapon is Alfodr but as you progress into the game, you’ll obtain more weapons at your disposal. If you have pre-ordered the game, you might also have access to two more exclusive weapons that can’t be obtained through normal game progression.

Valkyrie can change her weapons on the fly (even during a battle) by accessing the Menu then going to the Equip tab. She can only equip two weapons at a time that can be assigned to the UP and RIGHT DPAD buttons. She can swap between weapons by pressing the mentioned UP and RIGHT DPAD buttons.

All weapons can be imbued with elemental properties through the summoned Einherjar’s Reinforce Skill. So for example, summoning Eygon will automatically imbue your current weapon with the lightning element. If you have two einherjars deployed at the same time, simply select their assigned DPAD button to activate their corresponding element and imbue that to your weapon.

Weapon Improvement

As you use the weapon, their Proficiency increases. Proficiency represents Valkyrie’s familiarity with the weapon, and it is divided into different ranks, ranging from the lowest (Rank G) to the highest (Rank SSS). Your weapon’s proficiency increases whenever it hits and kills enemies so using your weapons often will allow you to increase their proficiency rank faster. We will cover this mechanic in a separate page within this guide.

On top of elemental weaknesses, certain enemies are also weak to specific weapons. You can review the enemy list in the menu to identify which enemies are weak against specific weapons.

Weapons can also be upgraded (enhanced) from Save Crystals using the same gems and souls Valkyrie uses for upgrading her skills. Weapons can be upgraded up to LV10.

Additionally, weapons can also have Runes installed on them. These runes provide bonus effects or buffs. You can freely install, remove, or swap these runes without any issues so feel free to attach them as you need it.
