  • Know your Weapon Combos

Once you know how to chain together various combinations of light and heavy attacks your character will be able to deal substantially more damage on the enemy by inflicting continuous assaults.

Being aware of what combos you have available and knowing when to employ them will give you an advantage in battle. You can see what combos your character has available by selecting 'Action Display' from the 'Equip' menu and selecting a certain weapon.

  • Be Aware of Unpurified Souls

There will be instances during Valkyrie Elysium where the soul of an opponent you killed is lurking nearby. It is crucial that you prevent any adversary from consuming them as it will greatly enhance their powers making a battle with any soul-fueled enemies considerably more difficult.

Whenever you encounter an unpurified soul on the battlefield be sure to make it disappear with a single stab of your weapon.

  • Exploit Enemy Weaknesses

All the enemies that you encounter in Valkyrie Elysium have at least two weaknesses that you can exploit. One will be a weapon weakness and the other an elemental weakness. There is a gauge on the left side of the enemy's health bar that will fill when you attack them with their elemental weakness.

Once full that enemy will enter the state known as Elemental Crush and be rendered powerless against the Valkyries attack enabling you to easily kill them.

  • Experiment with Divine Arts

Valkyrie can equip up to four Divine Arts at once to perform special abilities such as lances of flame, charged attacks, lightning bolts, and healing balms. Make sure you experiment with different combinations, so you can determine which ones perform best in each situation.
