Demo Version:
As like a number of Nintendo Games, Pokken Tournament was also given a demo version in Europe that was released on the same day of the Games for Wii U. (The Demo was later also released to the North American eShops.) This Demo was produced to give players a chance to test of the game and see if it would be one they would like to purchase. However, many of the features were limited, as well as a number of fuctionalities reduced.
The Demo Version released in Europe of March 18, 2016 - later in North America on March 31, 2016 - only allowed for ten total plays through the demo, and it ran on the original 1.0 Version of the game. This engine, later replaced by 1.1 Version Patch Update, prevented the use of Online Gameplay.
A player could also only have one battle in the Ferrum League per play. They had the selection of either Pikachu, Lucario, Gengar or Charizard as their Playable Pokemon, with either Emolga & Fennekin or Cubone & Diglett as their choice for Supporting Pokemon.
After the battle was over, the player is returned to the character selection screen once more. After all ten plays have been used, the demo is over.
