Online Battling

Online Battling is one of the funnest modes in the Pokken, as you can battle with anyone across the world. And even if the game can't locate a player to challenge you, it will automatically send you into a CPU Battle. It is also one of the few modes that are multiplayer, which makes it even more fun. There are two different modes with Online Battling: Friendly Matches & Ranked Matches.

Game Modes Of Online Battles:

Friendly Matches: These types of matches don't have rankings tied into them, but are really a free battle for fun. You can search to battle people globally or that you are friends with. You can't select to battle one specific person in general, as these are just search engines. There is also an option to set a VS Code, which matches you against players using the same eight-character code. VS Codes can be set to both Global and Friend searches, allowing you to face off with people you give your code to. After all Friendly battles, you can have a rematch or find someone else to battle you.

Ranked Matches: Within this Mode, you will go at it in battle against people across the world to increase your ranking. Rankings go from E-A, and each rank class has five levels of rankings (E5, E4, E3, E2, E1, D5, etc). This mode will try to select a player equal or close to you rank, and you will earn more points with each win. If you have a number of consecutive losses, you will begin to lose points which can hurt your overall ranking.

Rankings: It really isn't a mode found in this section of the game, but rather a compilation of your rankings. You can find either your Overall Score or Overall Wins, and from there you can find your All-Time Rankings or your Rankings from previous months. You can even filter the results based on Global, Regional, or your Wii U Friend List.
