Playable Characters Overview:

Within Pokken Tournament are Sixteen Playable Pokemon Characters. Fourteen of them are automatically unlocked at the start of the game, and they include Charizard, Pikachu, Pikachu Libre, Machamp, Gengar, Suicune, Sceptile, Blaziken, Gardevoir, Garchomp, Lucario, Weavile, Chandelure, and Braixen. The two, Mewtwo and Shadow Mewtwo, must be unlocked during the Single Player Game Mode.

Each Pokemon has a base number of Hit Points - like just about every other Pokemon Game - as well as unique moves and combos. Each Pokemon also has a specific Battle Style they bring to the table, either Power, Standard, Speed, or Technique. A number of Pokemon, such as Charizard, Gengar, and Blaziken can even Mega Evolve during their Synergy Burst.

Each and every Pokemon has an alternate costume form of a unique color that it normally doesn't have. All of the Pokemon have a unique ability when in either High-Stance or Low-Stance during fighting; some even have special movesets of their very own.

All Playable Characters can also have their Skill Level increase during Gameplay, reaching the maximum Pokemon-Norm of Level 100.
