Head to the marked location in southern part of Ocean Beach and interact with the mission marker to start the cutscene. Once done, find a vehicle and drive Ray to the hackerspace. After dropping him off the hackerspace, the mission will be complete.

Next, you have to go to the Galilei compound in the southeast corner of Silicon Valley. You can fast-travel there since there’s a kiosk you can use as a marker. Once you’re in the building, head outside to find the ctOS box. It is secured by a security router so you have to perform a network bypass first to unlock it. Deploy your quadcopter then fly to the roof above the box’s location to find the data source and the nodes you have to manipulate to complete the bypass. Refer to the video below if you need help solving the bypass.

Next, you have to enter the building and infiltrate the secured location to locate where the motherboard is stored. From the lobby, there are two point of entry; one is through the main entrance where you can turn off the laser tripwire but you still have to distract the armed guard in front of it before moving in. Another easier and safer approach is by climbing over the rocket display case near the main entrance which will take you directly to the upper floor. That’s the approach that we will take in this walkthrough.

After climbing over the display, head over to the second floor and hide. You can deploy your quadcopter to scout the area. There’s at least one guard in this floor who will roam the hallways so it will be better to knock him/her out before moving forth.

After dealing with the guard, head to the catwalk then use your quadcopter to fly close enough to the hanging container in the middle of the hall to take control of it. Now move that container to the catwalk you’re on and lower it so you can climb on it. This will be the most convenient and safest spot to deploy your jumper and take out the guards below without getting detected. Just make sure don’t lower the container too low or you’ll risk of sliding off or getting seen. To avoid damaging your jumper when you deploy it to the ground, you can have it jump over the rocket first. To ensure that you won’t get detected, you can raise the container a bit after deploying your jumper.

Once you’re in that good vantage point, you now need to grab the access key from the laptop inside the small room with two locked electronic doors. There’s a vent that your jumper can use to access the room though it’s in the open so you have to work quickly, away from the prying eyes of the guards. After getting the access key, you should be able to remotely open the access doors in the area.

There’s a CCT here that when unlocked, will allow you to control the connected barriers though you don’t really need to hack it to reach your objective. Make your way to the stairs near the objective marker. The motherboard you’re looking for is on the small, secured lab in the second floor. There’s a motion sensing laser at the base of the stairs leading to that room but it is moving from side to side, allowing your jumper to get past it without having the need to turn it off.

Upon reaching the second floor where the lab is located, you’ll find laser tripwires blocking the corridor. If you’re still using your jumper, you can have it go through the bottom without triggering the alarm. The lab itself is locked by a CCT inside. Find the vent in the outside corner of the room where your jumper can enter then hack the CCT to unlock it.

To modify the motherboard, Marcus himself needs to interact with the motherboard so still using the remote crane and if you’re still sitting on top of the hanging container van earlier then you can just move it next to the staircase near the lab then lower it enough so you can jump over the gap. It will be helpful if you have the skill to temporarily turn off the laser tripwires blocking the path to the lab so you can get past it without triggering the alarm.

After reaching the lab, interact with the marker so Marcus can start modifying the motherboard. Now, you need to install the modified motherboard in the rocket in the same hall. If you used the container van to reach this location, you can hop back on it and use it to easily and safely reach the rocket.

After reaching the rocket, interact with it to have Marcus install the modified board on it automatically. Once done, you have to leave the building and the mission area to complete this objective.
