This skill tree simply increases your max botnet resource meter. The first node increases your botnet resources by four while the other remaining nodes in this upgrade tree increase your botnet resource by 2. While you can definitely do more things with a full usable botnet meter, I will advise against unlocking all nodes in this skill tree; you're better off prioritizing using those valuable research points to get other functional skills first.
