A new points system has been added to your Springfield and the potential rewards for participating in it are huge. Huge we tell you! Huge like an Elephant huge!

This newest Experience Point System is noted as “FP” in your game and is connected to actions and interactions between you and your Neighbors. Launched on 26 February 2014, FP is acquired by completing actions through visiting your Neighbor's Springfield and cleaning up any vandalism that your neighbors have perpetrated in your own Springfield!

Collecting Friend/Frink Points is similar to the mechanism by which the Hearts and Cards were earned during their respective special events -- though in this case your FP decreases as you visit more of your Neighbors / Springfield verisons.

The radical side of this new system -- which is clearly designed to encourage players to visit their Neighbor Towns -- is a catalog of some very desirable prizes that are awarded based upon collecting FP and the “Level” you have attained by doing so.

So far all of the special prizes for collecting the Frinks Points have been totally worth having...

Earning Points and Collecting Prizes

Players can complete up to 300 actions per day while visiting their Neighbor Springfield towns, which translates to around 710 FP in total each day. As noted above players will earn Bonus FP via the graffiti in their own town when they clean it up.

Actions to FP Exchange Ratio

1 - 30 Actions = 10 FP

31 - 60 Actions = 5 FP

61 - 90 Actions = 4 FP

91 - 120 Actions = 2 FP

121 - 300 Actions = 1 FP

As illustrated by the ratio list above, the more actions you complete the less they are valued in FP, but on the other hand ANY actions that earn FP up to the daily limit are worth doing, so it all evens out in the end, right? Right!

Friendship Levels and the Respective Prizes

The prize system for the new FP System is based upon the relative Friendship Level that you have unlocked -- with the amounts of Friend Points earned and the prizes awarded interconnected.

The following are the rewards based upon level unlocked that we have been able to verify so far with the prize listed for the actual level unlocked, and not (as it is in the game) for the level you are working on. That made more sense to us...

Level 1 = ---

Level 2 = Olemic Head

Level 3 = Singing Sirloin

Level 4 = Snowball II

Level 5 = Homer's Car

Level 6 = Stampy the Elephant

The Prizes (so far)

Olemic Head (Friendship Level 1/2)

Requiring only 1,000 FP, the first prize in the new Friendship Points scheme is a decoration worth 100 Vanity Points for your town. Its build time is instant, and it made its first appearance during the episode called ‘Blood Feud’ in the Simpson's TV Show.

Singing Sirloin (Friendship Level 2/3)

Requiring an additional 2,000 FP, the Singing Sirloin is a new Restaurant / Building for your Springfield. In addition to adding another Income-producing building to your town, this new steak house also adds a new Task for Moe -- Eat at the Singing Sirloin (3h) $135 and 35XP.

The Singing Sirloin made its first appearance in the show during the ninth episode of season one titled ‘Life on the Fast Lane’. The original appearance was related to Marge and Homer's anniversary in which Homer took Marge bowling, but it has appeared in subsequent episodes, usually as a special place for celebrating important events.

Snowball II (Friendship Level 3/4)

Unlocking this new Pet Character requires an additional 1,500 FP and as it is a non-playable character does not add anything new to the game in terms of Tasks or actions. She is part of the More Animals and Pets collection, and she represents one of the many replacement Snowball cats - for some odd reason they keep dying... I think that the dog has something to do with that.

Homer's Car (Friendship Level 4/5)

Requiring the collection of an additional 2,000 FP, Homer's car is an icon of the show so it is about time that it made its way into the game! Players will have to make an effort to give the Simpson house a driveway (if it does not already have one) just for this very welcome addition to the game!

Considering that it is clearly a hoopdie car, the fact that it adds 100 Vanity Points to your town is rather amazing! Seen at the beginning of almost every single episode unless it features an extended couch gag, Homer's sedan is one of the two cars that are owned by the Simpson family -- the other being the Estate Wagon that Marge drives.

Each completed Neighbor equals XP, money and points so it is all good!

Stampy the Elephant (Friendship Level 5/6)

The character of Stampy actually appeared in the show in the episode “Bart Gets an Elephant” and is unlocked after collecting an additional 5,000 FP following unlocking and collecting Homer’s Car.

It should be noted that while Stampy is slotted in the new character collection “More Animals and Pets” unlike other non-playable Characters and pets, Stampy actually has a pair of Tasks she/he can complete, which means that technically they are a Playable-Character!

The Tasks that Stampy can complete are:

(1) Carry Bart (12h) $840and 200 XP

(2) Redecorate The Simpsons House (24h) $600 and 150XP

What comes next has yet to be revealed but it is likely that this system will continue to be expanded...

I would not worry about sounding needy mate - you need friends you ask for them. Another good place to do that is the chat boards on SuperCheats.

I don't think you should feel bad for pruning like that - the bottom line? The whole point behind BEING neighbors is to help each other's games!

I feel bad eliminating neighbors but some of them NEVER visit me. I visit all of my 100 neighbors everyday. Why should I keep neighbors who NEVER visit me?
