While we try very hard to help our fellow Tappers and members of the SuperCheats Community with any issues that they are having in their game - even when all we can do is explain to them WHY it is happening to them, and suggest possible solutions - eventually if the problem is serious there is only one source for help, and that is the Wizards who make the game via Electronic Arts, its parent development studio...
If it gets to that point, invariably the next question we are asked is "How do I Contact EA games for a problem with The Simpsons': Tapped Out?"
After having answered that question a bazillion times in email we have reached a tipping point. And not just because we answered it a bazillion times either - there is also an official issue as the word has been handed down from the Editor to the Sub-Editors and, following the trickle-down laws of physics, that word finally reached the Bullpen here at SuperCheats.
The WORD
We can no longer answer questions via email. In fact you are not even supposed to HAVE our personal email addresses!
Before you panic please know that we are NOT saying we can no longer answer questions or provide help - what we ARE saying is that we cannot do it via email.
The reason for that has everything to do with The WORD that was passed down from on-high...
The deal is this: Our brave and omniscient Editor Rich was looking at secret papers and reports that are only given to brave and omniscient editors and he realized that each of the Staff Writers here at SuperCheats were, on average, answering more than 100 email requests a week. In some cases WAY more than that.
That was a problem right off the bat because the whole point behind our applying our expertise to the members of the SuperCheats Community - and Tappers at large - is so that we help as many people as possible by doing that.
When we reply to an email we are, by definition, only helping ONE person. The Editor in Chief pointed out that while helping people is good, the structure of our publication is engineered to help people in bulk, not in queue and one at a time.
So the ruling was cast - from now on all questions get answered either (a) via the Questions & Answers mechanism on the site, or (b) via the Comments System below each page as a Reply TO the question.
That way the answer is public, and can benefit ANYONE who reads it. As our publication has a built-in Search Function, and the entire contents are included in the Search Database, that means that when a Tapper or a Member of the Community has a problem and searches for the answer to it using keywords or even simple sentences, they WILL see our answer there.
The upside is that doing it this way frees us up to answer even more questions, write more stuff, and all around makes the Bullpen a simpler, faster, and happier place to be.
And so now you know the score. And now, to answer this question one last time:
Q. How do I Contact EA for help with The Simpsons: Tapped Out?
A. Sit down at your computer and grab your preferred Web Browser and then enter into it the following URL:
Once that page loads you will need to perform the following tasks:
There you go! That is precisely the same information we would have provided to you had you emailed us - but that we can no longer provide because you know, you are not supposed to email us. So please stop emailing us via our personal email addresses? Seriously your emails are making it a lot harder for us to find the important email like Viagra ads and How to Pay Off Your Mortgage with Pennies emails...
