Part 01: The Forced Tutorial (Levels 1-4)

Thank you for printing this page from www.SuperCheats.com. Remember to come back to check for updates to this guide and much more content for The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Last Updated:

Following the game prompts the first action that you will need to take is to open the tools menu and select the Simpson House, placing it on the spot that is highlighted for you.

Once that is placed a very short build timer runs out and then the house drops into place, revealing a new character for your crew, your daughter Lisa!

Considering that she is the smartest member of the family, having her added early is a good thing - and you gain 25 XP for the doing of it!

After you accept her you see the Collection Screen for The Simpsons -- elsewhere in the Guide that is explained, but the short of it is you want to try to collect all of The Characters in each collection both to expand Game Play options and for the extra rewards.

Building the house and gaining the character of Lisa completes the first quest, awarding you $100 and 10 XP, as well as gains you your first Level-Up.

Springfield Cleaners Pt. 1

Thus begins the first official Mission and Quests for what will turn out to be a very long and exciting, often entertaining line of the same, many of which will eventually assist you in expanding your Tapped Out Crew to include some of the most iconic Characters from the TV Show!

This first mission consists of multiple quest, and each of the quests has a Task or Tasks that is part of it.

Springfield Cleaners Pt. 1

The next quest is flagged and the tutorial prompts you to have Homer start cleaning up the toxic waste.

The individual Task associated with this mission/quest is the following Task that is only available to either Lisa or Homer, and then only when radioactive or toxic waste, or junk from the Old Springfield is left in the open. Generally that only happens when you have unlocked one of the new Land Expansion blocks. Once you have done so, have Homer complete the following Task:

Clean Up Springfield (6s) $35 and 1 XP

Clearing up a pile of waste completes the quest and earns you a reward of $100 and 10 XP

Springfield Cleaners Pt. 2

The next quest is flagged and the tutorial prompts you to have Lisa start cleaning up the toxic waste.

Clean Up Springfield (6s) $35 and 1 XP

Clearing up a pile of waste completes the quest and earns you a reward of $100 and 10 XP

With this short set of story quests completed the game will now flag and start the next story quests series, which is called The New Evergreen Terrace, and is a quest series that will remain active deep into the game as it has a total of eight (8) Parts!

The New Evergreen Terrace Pt. 1

The New Evergreen Terrace Pt. 1 -- Build Evergreen Terrace.

If you are not a fan of the TV Show you may be unaware that Evergreen Terrace is the name of the street that The Simpsons live on -- and the goal for this first quest in the New Evergreen Terrace is to build that street (or a short section of it anyway!).

This is clearly the start of the main forced tutorial and, to accomplish the task set out here, the game will take you by the figurative hand and show you what to place (a street segment) and where to place it (the highlighted placement target on the ground).

Once you place the first segment of road you will then be prompted to place additional segments by tapping the "+" tab on the street section and extending it all the way to the north edge of the open section of land you presently have access to.

Once you have extended the street all the way to the edge of the open grass, you are prompted to "build it" and doing so completes this quest!

You receive the traditional reward of $100 and 10 XP for your efforts, and well done you!

If you were expecting to get the next quest in the New Evergreen Terrace series, well, no. Prepare to be disappointed!

In place of the next quest in the series you will instead get the first quest in a series of what are called gap-quests. A gap-quest is a short quest that comes in between the major quests in The Story line.

Get used to this mates -- the road to completely finishing The New Evergreen Terrace series is a very long one with a LOT of gap-quests as well as OTHER story and side-quests thrown in!

Who Needs the Kwik-E-Mart

Build a Kwik-E-Mart.

The game is now going to request that you build a Kwik-E-Mart and, in the doing of it, spend two of the four Donuts you have obtained to “speed up” the Building process.

Using Donuts to Save Time

You should understand that while using the Donuts here is entirely optional, the whole point of this action is to introduce you to the Donuts as alternate currency in the game, and to show you how they can be used to shave off time in different ways - in this case Building time.

In this instance you have a choice -- you can spend the 2 Donuts and instantly build the Kwik-E-Mart, or you can close the game and go away for a few hours while the timer runs out, and the Building is built normally.

Either way when the timer is completed either by paying the Donuts or waiting it out, the Kwik-E-Mart gets built and the character of Apu (the owner and operator of this Kwik-E-Mart) is added to your crew in the game.

Well done mates! You have expanded your crew to three Characters, and thus now have around 3-times the earning power!

Apu is the first character in the Business Owners Group and you add him to that collection now as well.

You will also have accrued sufficient XP at this point to level up again, thus earning another Donut!

Soylent Bean

Have Lisa shop at the Kwik-E-Mart.

This is a 1h task, but Homer does not want Lisa to spend all that time at Kwik-E-Mart so he insists that she spend two of the Donuts you have acquired in order to skip the timer for this task.

Whether you choose to do as Homer insists or wait out the timer, either way when the timer expires you will have completed the task Soylent Bean / Ship at Kwik-E-Mart and will obtain the traditional reward of $100 and 10 XP.

Thank Ganesh

Apu tells you that he has survived robbery attempts and you flag this quest.

To complete the quest simply Make Apu Pray to the Goddess Ganesh.

This is a 45s task and rewads you with $3 and 1 XP. Completing the Quest/Goal rewards you with the traditional $100 and 10 XP as well!

Working Hard

Clean up the rest of the trash in your town.

The next quest, Working Hard, has you make both Homer and Lisa Clean Up Springfield.

This requires you to have both undertake the task "Clean up Springfield" (6s)with a reward of $35 and 1 XP each.

Basically when you engage the task the character you choose will automatically seek out and clean up one of the piles of trash, which will reward you with the task reward plus a possibility of a Donut or two!

The second stage of this Quest/Goal has Lisa clean a pile, at which point in addition to the Task reward you will also have completed the Quest/Goal and thus receive the traditional $100 and 10 XP the doing of it.

Cleaning the second pile will trigger the flagging of the next quest in the Evergreen Terrace series, Part 2, which has you build a Brown House, and that signals the end of this series of gap-quests.

The New Evergreen Terrace Pt. 2

Build the Brown House.

The next phase in the tutorial requires you to build a Brown House, which is the low-class housing solution for Springfield. Slightly better than a FEMA trailer but not as nice as a Motel 6.

Simply do the following:

Build the Brown House -- Build and place the Brown House where the game indicates you should. Building a Brown House will cost you $355 and require 12s build time. The Brown House pays a tax of $6 and 1 XP every 5 minutes.

Completing this Quest/Goal will reward you with $100 and 10 XP.

A few words about Donuts

You want to hold on to them and NOT spend them, because there are infrastructure Items that your Donuts are much better spent on, so unless you absolutely cannot avoid it, do not spend your Donuts!

It may seem like an exaggeration, but every Donut really does count here, but it is your call: wait for 4 hours, or spend 2 Donuts now and keep playing. Either way once you finish the quests above you will have reached Level 4 and be ready to move to the next section of the Guide!
