The Krustyland Shuttle Service Transport Bus
The Krustyland Shuttle Service Transport Bus

You will doubtlessly notice that in addition to the Conform-O-Meter in Springfield, there is a similar meter and meter system in Krustyland (called the Krust-O-Meter) that you will also want to get filled as much as you can.

While we do cover the Conform-O-Meter elsewhere the importance of both it and the Krust-O-Meter are significant enough to warrant a more in-depth examination here... At least if you are at all interested in both better understanding them and how they are improved and interested in adding a significant percentage to your Income in terms of Money and XP. Right?

Conform-O-Meter

This meter applies specifically to Springfield, and it improves the amount of money and XP you receive from doing Tasks. Jobs, and Quests in the game. Filling the meter completely will gain you a five percent (5%) Bonus, and when you add that 5% to whatever your other bonus Items are (a number of different objects add to the cumulative bonus) it is possible to nearly double your take!

The Conform-O-Meter has the following Sections to it, each having five stars that you can fill. These are:

  1. Indolence: Buy houses for families to fight and sleep in.

  2. Consumerism: Buy Stores to get suckers to drop dough.

  3. Tree-Hugging: Buy plants to make your town greener.

  4. Vanity: Buy Decorations to beautify your town.

  5. Obedience: Buy public Buildings to keep society docile.

  6. Gluttony: Buy restaurants for people too lazy to cook.

  7. Righteousness: Keep criminals and graffiti off the streets.

  8. Socialism: Make friends and visit them.

For most players it is likely that Socialism will be the most difficult to raise -- unless you happen to already have a ton of mates already playing the game.

If you do not choose to pester your mates to play so that you can increase that rating, an alternative is to look in the comments posted below on many of the pages for this Guide as SuperCheats members often post their name/nym with the request that you add them. That is an easy and effective solution to the problem.

Raising Indolence

You can increase this stat by purchasing and placing the following Items from the Buyildings Menu in the store:

  • Retirement Castle $?? (Level 19 and The Greying of Springfield Quest Required)

In addition to the above, this element is also raised via the placement of housing - all housing - so you should have easily taken it to a full five stars without even really trying :)

Raising Consumerism

This is raised exclusively via the placement of Stores in the game. Once you reach Level 20 and above you will be in a phase of the game in which almost three-quarters of the new structures you will be placing are retail-related, so this should begin to raise relatively quickly at that point!

Generally speaking the following Buildings will help to increase this:

  • The Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop

  • Crypto Barn

  • Herman's Military Antiques

  • House of Evil

Krust-O-Meter

This meter is similar to the one in Springfield but, of course, it applies only to Krustyland - with the unique set of stats that apply there being:

  • Nausea: Buy rides that people will line up for.

  • Grub: Buy food stalls to give people energy to get back in line for rides.

  • Kitsch: Buy Decorations for people to look at while waiting in line for rides.

  • Merch: Buy Stores that sell souvenirs of a day spent waiting in line for rides.

The following factors are used to boost each stat:

Nausea

Add rides to the park - they list only the Income and XP in the store but rest assured that ALL of the rides add to this stat!

The Sum Total of Meter Benefits

In addition to providing you with a sort of balance to the Items, objects, and structures that you place in your game (the different focal points tend to encourage a mixture of each type) the end result of filling the meters is that your Income is boosted -- if you are successful in capping off each of the different stats that boos can be as much as 10% of the net Cash and XP from jobs and tasks -- and possibly quests too though there is no official word on that.

The important thing to remember is that this 10% boost to Cash and XP is in addition to whatever total you end up with when adding together all of the various Cash and XP boosting objects, Decorations, and structures.

Once you reach Level 20 and beyond and your land area is expanded to fulfill all of the quest requirements this can turn into a real pile of Cash every few hours!

Consumerism is raised by adding stores. The Kwik-E-Mart will work well for this. Just add more of them.

Yes all of the premium items are cumulative.

For example if you have the following you will get the total bonus:

Apple Tree .50 %
Apple Tree .50 %
Statue: 2.75%
Decoration: .25%

Total Bonus = 5%

Are the premium items like the apple trees cumulative? Like if I get two apple trees do they both give a bonus of 0.50 percent each?
