Welcome! Greetings! Well Met! We don't know if you realize this or not but considering the fact that you are here at Level 38 and about to embark upon the rush to Level 40 that finises off this section of the Guide, you should know that you have really accomplished a lot!

Wow, who would have thought all those months ago, when we watched that bonehead Homer Simpson blow up Springfield that all of the effort that was required to both rebuild the town AND work our way through countless holiday and special events, including more than a few TV Tie-Ins, and let us not forget a pair of significant Content expansions we found in the Boardwalk and Krustyland.

It was not an easy road but you did it, and you should take a few minutes here, now, to relish in your success and think about what lies ahead of you -- more fun and adventure, yay!

A Quick Boost to the Level Cap Part 1: The Level 38 Cap

The long period of coasting that occurred when the game reached the Level 37 Cap was broken on 16 January 2014 when the development team added a new Level to the Cap, moving the Level Cap to Level 38,

The first indication that something had changed happened when players logged in on the afternoon of the 16th and were presented with a notice that they had leveled up! The notice, with a massive 38 in the background, included the presentation of 2 Donuts as the Level-up Reward.

At the same time as the bump to the Level Cap, the developers added some new Content to the game, including the following:

New Buildings

Springfield Grocery Store -- $261,000 -- Level 38 Required

Springfield Court House -- $319,500 -- Level 38 & Scandalous Spending Pt. 5 Mission Required.

New Characters

Blue Haired Lawyer -- 90 Donuts -- his jobs earn 50% more Money and XP.

Judge Snyder -- Comes with Springfield Courthouse Building

New Objects and Decorations

Greenpeace Boat -- $1,300 -- Requires Level 21 and Improves your town's Tree-Hugging Rating.

Khlav Kalash Stand -- $760 -- Level 21 Required and Improves your towns Gluttony.

Knightboat -- 40 Donuts -- Requires Level 15 and awards 2% Bonus Money and XP.

Lady Justice Statue -- $4,500 -- Level 38 Required and Improves your Towns Obedience Rating.

In addition to the Introduction of new objects, Buildings, and Characters, they also lowered the price of the Springfield Unemployment Office from $310,000 to just $207,000!

As more details and information about Missions and their Quests are revealed we will add them here!

A Love Embiggened Pt. 6 - Make Apu Beg Marge for Help.

The thing about being too close to the trees to actually see the forest is that you are too close to the trees to actually care about the forest as well. Still, Apu at least is smart enough to realize when he is in trouble, and not ashamed to ask for help, which puts him WAY ahead of the game in terms of most of my mates... So hit the following Task hard for Apu:

Beg Marge for Help (2h) $220 and 54 XP.

Completing this Task will also reward you with $100 and 10XP.

A Love Embiggened Pt. 9 - Make Apu and Manjula Get Away from it All.

A little peace and quiet and together time may be just the thing! So have him and Manjula complete the following Tasks:

Get Away from It All (24h) $1600 and 375 XP.

A Love Embiggened Pt. 10 - Make Apu Work and Manjula Mind the Kids...

You now considering how long that they have been together, once the relationship more or less got back on track you would think that Apu's wife would not be all that surprised that he immediately heads back to work, but there you have it. Apu: Kwik-E-Mart 24hr Shift (24h) $600 and 150 XP

A Perfectly Cromulent Job

After a very long long time indeed we are finally getting to meet -- and get to know -- Apu's family! Seriously! This new Mission brings with it a bit of new characterness with the Introduction of Sanjay to the game and more important, assuming you have the Premium Currency, another bit of surprise!

It may be a bit unusual, but with this Mission there are some other additions to the game, including the following:

-- Sanjay's House ($438K) Requires Level 39 and This Mission -- Includes Sanjay Character

-- Apu's Apartment (160D) Includes Manjula (Apu's Wife)

-- Shiva Statue (40D) 2% Bonus to Money and XP for All Jobs.

A Perfectly Cromulent Job Pt. 1 -- Build Sanjay's House

The cost for this Building project is $438K -- but as it also requires Level 39 you should be in a position where you can pull down that sort of Income over the course of an average 48 hour period in collecting both taxes and job income from your town!

Whether you choose to combine placing Apu's Apartment (assuming you have the D) with this or not, Yoda would say "build it you must!"

A Perfectly Cromulent Job Pt. 2 -- Make Sanjay and Apu Heartily Celebrate Sanjay's Return.

For this part of the Mission you are going to need Apu available, as well as his brother Sanjay (who you just unlocked and added to your Springfield) -- and have them complete the following Task:

Heartily Celebrate Sanjay's Return (45s) $3 and 1XP.

Completing this Task will also reward you with $100 and 10XP.

A Perfectly Cromulent Job Pt. 3 -- Make Sanjay and Apu Negotiate an Employment Contract.

For this part of the Mission you once again need Sanjay and Apu - and have them complete the following Task:

Negotiate an Employment Contract (5h) $200 and 50 XP.

.Completing this Task will also reward you with $100 and 10XP.

A Perfectly Cromulent Job Pt. 5 -- Make Sanjay Drink with Homer.

The situation must be dire indeed if a relatively sane character is actually seeking out the advice of Homer Simpson... Even a character from some other place originally cannot help but noice just how notoriously unreliable Homer Simpson is - or how inadvisable it is to take advice from a man who believes that there are elves in teh washing machine and drier that exact a socks tax -- which according to Homer explains why two socks go in, but only one sock comes out...

Have Sanjay and Homer available together, and have them complete the following Task:

Drink with Homer (8h) $275 and 70 XP.

.Completing this Task will also reward you with $100 and 10XP.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

A Perfectly Cromulent Job Pt. 6 -- Make Sanjay and Apu deal with the situation - sort of...

Right so what we have here are relatives - each of which feels that the other wronged them - the fallout that traditionally follows is easy enough to predict (and understand)...

To complete this part of the mission you basically need to do the following Tasks:

Apu: Make Apu Fume (16h) $500 and 125 XP.

Sanjay: Sulk (16h) $500 and 125XP.

.Completing this Task will also reward you with $100 and 10XP.

For this part of the Mission you once again need Sanjay to complete the following Task:

Skateboard (12h) $420 and 100 XP.

Completing this Task will also reward you with $100 and 10XP.

I don't know about you but as far as I am concerned this battle of relations has gone on far too long, so seeing Apu and Sanjay make up was something of a relief. All that is left is for Sanjay to acknowledge the (relative) authority of Apu and take a shift at the store - even an abbreviated one!

To complete this Mission have Sanjay do the following Task:

Chocolate Pain

Something is wrong in the halls of Springfield's schools, and the clues have been detected by Lisa Simpson -- who is arguably the smartest student in town... When Skinner fails to provide useful information about the problem, Lisa threatens to write a letter of complaint to the School Board - a threat that Skinner sees as just the thing to keep the students busy while he fixes a problem that is not really all that easy to fix...

Breaking the 4th Wall

Look, this is a video game, and normally in this sort of environment we try to stay away from real life issues that can be a bummer to deal with - but sadly this is one issue we cannot avoid...

The actor who provided the voice for Edna Krabappel -- teacher and real estate investor -- died last year. Tat actor -- Marcia Wallace -- was 70-years-old and was a very well-liked and even loved professional, and the iconic character that she voiced on the show? Well, it seems reasonable to us that the people behind The Simpsons have come to the conclusion that she cannot be replaced by a substitute voice actor, and they are not going to even try.

Instead they are retiring the character -- with respect -- which is only right. And we have been wondering how that would manifest in the game and now we know... A new teacher is arriving to take over her class and hey, this should be interesting. After all the creative folks behind the game and show now have the opportunity to create a new presence in the world of Springfield - so what do you suppose it will be?

Hey, for the record, we will miss you Mrs. K-F - we are sure your husband Ned will miss you most of all, but so too will we. RIP.

Chocolate Pain Pt. 1

In addition to beginning the steps required to bring in the new teacher, this Quest also marks the increase in the Level Cap to Level 40.

For this Quest we will need to get Lisa writing and convince Ralph to try and sigh his name. Sigh. To get there have them do the following Tasks:

Lisa: Write a Letter of Complaint (2h) $110 and 27 XP.

Ralph: Try to Sign his Name (2h) $110 and 27 XP.

Competing this Quest also rewards you with $100 and 10 XP.

Chocolate Pain Pt. 2

Build the Ah, Fudge! Factory. So first, they are not kidding - the next step for this Quest Line is to actually build an Ah, Fudge! Factory. And that is the good news. The bad news? This thing costs $600K!

If you do not already have it, you will need to save up the $600K to build this -- it has a build time of 24 hours.

Once built the Factory generates $135 / 15 XP every 8 hours, and as a Bonus it improves Consumerism for that stat on the meter. The Factory ALSO adds two Characters to the game -- the new teacher who will be taking over Mrs. K's class Miss Hoover, and a new Mascot Character called Cocoa Beanie.

The good news is that Cocoa is NOT an NPC - he actually has Tasks!

Premium Stuff

In addition to the above additions to the game via this quest, the Level 40 Update (which this is all a part of) also adds the following Premium Items to the game:

  • Lotto N Liquor (150 Donuts) Generates $105 / 11 XP every 3 hours & improves Indolence Stat.

  • Dewey Largo - the new Music Teacher added when you buy Lotto N Liquor.

  • Santa’s Little Helper Topiary -- 30 Donuts -- 0.50% Bonus Money and XP to all jobs.

Non-Premium Items

  • Concrete Wall Decoration ($385 per) Improves Vanity Stat.

  • Crashed Police Car (Krustyland) 1,000 Tickets -- Improves Kitsch.

Considering that these are all part of a Level-Cap Update this is a pretty good spread of Items for which we should probably be collectively happy - just saying...

Lisa and Ralph: Go on a Fudge-Tastic Tour (6h) $225 and 55 XP.

Chocolate Pain Pt. 8 - The Cabaret Dance War

OK at first this was a mildly entertaining if simplistic Mission and quest line, and it was rather predictable you know with the whole new relationship, true-love Chocolate thing and all but really? I mean really? Cabaret Dancer? And Smithers?! Well you got it to do so go do it:

Krusty: Cabareducate (24h) $600 and 150 XP.

Hoover: Get Cabareducated (24h) $600 and 150 XP.

Smithers: Get Cabareducated (24h) $600 and 150 XP.

Krusty: Hold a Dance-Off (4h) $175 and 45 XP.

Dolph: Like Kearney's Video 1,000,000 Times (8h) $275 and 70 XP

Kearney: Put up a ViewTube Video (8h) $420 and 105 XP

Chocolate Pain Pt. 12 - Miss Hoover is in Trouble...

Now don't tell me you saw this one coming, because really? Really? It seems that as adventurous as Marge Simpson is, she is still something of a prude, which is too bad and also OK since it makes this Mission longer, right? And Bonus! It brings in some more of the community! Hit up the following Tasks:

Report Inappropriate Teacher Conduct (12h) $420 and 100 XP (x10 Citizens)

Skinner: Hide Under His Desk (12h) $420 and 100 XP.

The Devil Wears Blue

The newest Level kicks off with a book/film Reference with this new Mission, The Devil Wears Blue.

The Devil Wears Blue Pt. 1 -- Make Homer get Squishee Brain-Freeze

This Mission is a departure from the normal system of Missions and Quests in the game specifically because it has an unlisted (you could even call it concealed) prerequisite in that IF the player does not own the Blue-Haired Lawyer Premium Character, the Mission line will abruptly terminate once Homer completes this Quest. However IF the player actually bought the Blue-Haired Lawyer Premium Character, the Mission line will continue with no remark or other indications that a special prerequisite was met.

Considering that the Blue-Haired Lawyer costs a whopping 90 Donuts ordinarily we would ignore the quest, but because the Mission is triggered by a character we do have, we did not have any choice but to spend the 90 Donuts on the Blue-Haired Lawyer so that we could fully document this Mission. You are NOT required to do so, we are NOT suggesting that you do, we just wanted to explain why we did.

To complete this first element in the Mission have Homer Simpson head to the nearest Kwik-E-Mart and complete the following Task:

Get Squishee Brain-Freeze (30m) $40 and 10 XP

Completing this Quest also awards you with $100 and 10 XP.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Devil Wears Blue Pt. 2 -- Make the Blue-Haired Lawyer Hatch Plans with Homer.

For this part of the Mission the Blue-Haired Lawyer and Homer Simpson team up -- much to Lisa Simpson's horror and strong advice to her father not to -- and we shall shortly see just how bad this is going to get! To keep this part of the Mission rolling make sure that Homer and the Blue-Haired Lawyer are free and available for flagging this part of the Mission, and then have Blue-Haired Laywer and Homer complete the following Task:

Hatch Plans with Homer (12h) $600 and 150 XP

Activating the Task on the Blue-Haired Lawyer will cause the Blue-Haired Lawyer to go to the Simpson House and go inside to begin doing the Task -- it will ALSO result in Homer Simpson going home and joining Blue-Haired Lawyer to do this Task so, even though it does not actually say anywhere that Homer also needs to be available in order to initiate and complete the Task, he does.

Note that this is a 12h Task that has the same reward as the typical 24h Task -- the reason for that is due to the fact that the Blue-Haired Lawyer is a Premium Character and thus, enjoys a compensation rate that is twice the normal amounts -- or x2 the normal amounts.

Completing this Quest also awards you with $100 and 10 XP.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Devil Wears Blue Pt. 3 -- Make Homer Eat at a Krusty Burger.

For this part of the Mission you will need to have reached Level 7 and purchased and constructed a Krusty Burger Restaurant (obviously you will have done this a long time ago), and then send Homer Simpson to complete the following Task:

Eat at Krusty Burger (30m) $40 and 10 XP.

Completing this Quest also awards you with $100 and 10 XP.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Devil Wears Blue Pt. 4 -- Make Homer Choke on a Pretzel.

You would think that even someone as stupid as Homer Simpson would somehow grasp the fact that this easy-Money the lawyer is talking about means hurting the small business owners for businesses that are close to his own heart - and home. After all, Moe's Place is very nearly Homer Simpson's second home!

While I -- and I suspect you too -- will never fully understand the moral wrangling that must take place within the heart of people who do this sort of thing, you will need to be sure that the Blue-Haired Lawyer and Homer Simpson are both free and available in order for them to have the conversation that leads to this next Quest in the Devil Wears Blue Mission -- assuming that you have reached Level 15 and built Moe's Tavern -- which is a pretty safe assumption -- it's time to send Homer Simpson to complete the following Task:

Choke on a Pretzel (3h) $135 and 35 XP.

Completing this unsavory Quest also awards you with $100 and 10 XP.

The Devil Wears Blue Pt. 5 -- Make the Blue-Haired Lawyer Deliver Lawsuits to Local Businesses..

Everything in this Mission appears to be coming to a head as the scheme has reached the paperwork stage -- and everyone knows when you start to get paperwork involved, things are getting serious!

In this instance Blue-Haired Lawyer has Homer sign the Legal complaints, whereupon a Xerox Machine gets involved, and copies are distributed to the owners of the businesses that Homer Simpson has patronized -- putting them each on notice that they should call their own Lawyers!

To complete this part of the Mission you will need to have Blue-Haired Lawyer complete the following Task::

Deliver Lawsuits to Local Businesses (24h) $1000 and 225 XP.

Completing this Quest also awards you with $100 and 10 XP.

So be sure that Apu, Krusty, Moe, Homer, and Blue-Haired Lawyer are all available, and have them complete the following Tasks:

Hardly Kirk-ing

Bear in mind that this new Mission for both Kirk and Luann Van Houten (Milhouses parents) will ONLY flag and unlock if you both completed Kirk's previous Mission -- Weekend Dad -- AND you purchased the Premium Building The Cracker Factory, which is how you get the character of Luann added to your game.

Cracker Factory: This is a Level 37 Premium Building and it costs 150 Donuts to unlock and add to your game. It is a large-lot-structure. In addition to being required in order to unlock and flag the Hardly Kirk-ing Mission and to add Luann Van Houten to your game, this building is also required in order to initiate the Investorettes Mission sequence that results in adding the Fleet-A-Pita Vans to your Springfield.

Note that having the Fleet-A-Pita Vans in your Springfield is totally worth it for a number of reasons, so spending the Donuts on the Cracker Factory may be one of the few rare exceptions where spending Money in the game is actually worth it.

For that reason and the assumption that you will want to add the Fleet-A-Pita to your game, we are covering this as if it were not an optional (meaning we are including it here).

Hardly Kirk-ing Pt. 1 -- Make Luann and Kirk Work at the Cracker Factory.

For this one-off Mission you are going to Make Stampy Carry Bart -- which means you are going to need both Bart Simpson and Stampy the Elephant -- who you unlocked as our prize for being diligent in collecting Friend Points! So when you have them both available, have them complete the following Task:

Carry Bart (12h) $420 and 100 XP

This Mission also rewards you with $100 and 10 XP.

Scandalous Spending

This new Mission series begins almost instantly after the increase in the Level Cap is noted. You should be aware that this Mission line is the one that leads to the unlocking of the Springfield Courthouse Building (which requires that the player have reached Level 38 and unlocked Part 5 of this Mission line). The Springfield Courthouse Building Project also unlocks a new character (Judge Snyder) when completed.

Scandalous Spending Pt. 1 -- Make Chief Wiggum Procrastinate.

To complete this Quest be sure that the Chief is available and then have them complete the following Task:

Procrastinate (12h) $420 and 100 XP.

Scandalous Spending Pt. 3 -- Make Comic Book Guy Become a Slacktivist.

Let's be realistic here, we cannot have Comic Book Guy running all over Springfield and enjoying his favorite Cosplay activities when there are Missions to be done! Make sure that Comic Book Guy is available and then have him complete the following new Task:

Become a Slacktivist (30m) $40 and 10 XP.

Completing this Quest also rewards you with $100 and 10 XP.

Scandalous Spending Pt. 4 -- Make Chief Wiggum Bust Budget Blogger.

The complex investigation into these activities that may or nay not have violated a law that may or may not exist by a Chief of Police who may -- or may not -- be a professional Law Enforcement Officer -- ultimately may or may not end up in the arrest of Comic Book Guy -- OK he does get arrested, sheesh!

To complete this Quest be sure that Chief Wiggum and the Comic Book Guy are available and then have them complete the following Task:

Wiggum: Bust the Budget Blogger (10h) $350 and 90 XP.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Once the Task is initiated you get to watch as the very round Chief Wiggum pursues (waddles up to) the equally round and out-of-breath Secret Blogging Journalist The Comic Book Guy, at which point a chase ensues (they shift their weight from one foot to the other) and then Chief Wiggum pretty much follows Comic Book Guy as the latter walks to the Police Station and locks himself into the holding cell there. This is where things get interesting.

Completing this Quest also rewards you with $100 and 10 XP.

Scandalous Spending Pt. 5 -- Build the Courthouse.

Remember when I said this is where things get interesting? Yeah I just said that in the paragraph above? Right! Well, this is where things get interesting because The Comic Book Guy has no intention of going down quietly which is how Chief Wiggum prefers criminals (and innocent citizens, the distinction is a bit confusing for the Chief) and susequently demands his day in court!

Here is the problem -- nobody has ever done that before. In fact Chief Wiggum is not even sure that they can actually try a case since there is no Courthouse! Well, there WAS a Courthouse -- before Homer Simpson blew up the town! But nobody got around to rebuilding the Courthouse because why? Because so far there was no need for it! Criminals -- and innocent civilians -- always paid plead guilty and paid the fine -- and when necessary picked up the garbage -- because that was just how it worked.

But it works that way no more!

So to complete this part of the Mission you will need to do the following horrendous tasks:

(1) Reach Level 38;

(2) Unlock Part 5 (this Quest) of the Scandalous Spending Mission;

(3) Save Up $319,500 of in-game Cash (and that is a LOT of moolah!);

(4) Purchase a Land Expansion Slot (or have already done so) so that you have adequate space for the placement of the Springfield Courthouse Building Project (which is a Medium-sized building project);

(5) Purchase the Springfield Courthouse Building Project from the in-game Store;

(6) Place the Springfield Courthouse Building Project thus engaging the 1d12h (36h) Timer.

Now, in theory once the timer has run its course and the Building of the Springfield Courthouse is properly completed, Judge Snyder (who has until now been enjoying what amounts to a paid vacation in which he has been fishing and reading the Aubrey-Maturin series of Nautical Adventures written by one of the greatest historical-fiction authors of the last century one Patrick O'Brien.

To put this in perspective for you, when they made the movie (using several of the books as the basis for it), the title that they chose was "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World" and they cast Russel Freaking Crowe starred as Captain Jonathan "Jack" Aubrey, RN, and Paul Bettany in the role of Dr. Stephen Maturin.

To be honest with you, I personally think that casting David Threlfall for the role of Preserved Killick, who is not only Captain Aubrey's official servant both in the Captain's Cabin and at meal services, but also takes on the role of Ship's Steward and the Captain's house servant when he is not at sea - just saying - was utterly freaking brilliant!

So anyway a very angry Judge Snyder has now been deprived of his all-expenses paid very long-term holiday simply because Comic Book Guy had to have his day in court, so you know this is not going to turn out well, right?

Well, go ahead and build the Courthouse already so we can find out how it turns out!

Completing this Quest also rewards you with $100 and 10 XP.

Scandalous Spending Pt. 6 -- Make Everyone Involved Appear in Court!

Here is where everything gets very complicated -- and it usually does get very complicated when Lawyers are involved in any way! So, to complete this part of the Mission you are going to need to have Comic Book Guy, Chief Wiggum, and the newest character in your Springfield, Judge Snyder -- free and available and ready to go to court, or at least complete the following Tasks:

Judge Snyder: Preside Over Court Session (4h) $175 and 45 XP.

Chief Wiggum: Attend Court Hearing (12h) $420 and 100 XP.

Comic Book Guy: Attend Court Hearing (12h) $420 and 100 XP.

They do not make it clear how the Judge can only put in 4h of a 12h Court Session, but hey, there you have it -- Justice is Blind, it doesn't have to make sense!

Completing this Quest also rewards you with $100 and 10 XP.

Amusing Anecdote: If you visit the Springfield that we use to play in order to write this Guide you will find that the new Springfield Courthouse has been build directly across the street from the Government Center area of the town, which contains the Town Hall (in front of which is the historic statue of Springfield's Founder, Jebediah Springfield.

Next door to the new Courthouse is the fenced off impound yard in which can be found a Victorian-era Flying Saucer (UFO), a Miniature Black Hole, a Killer Robot, and a Thermonuclear Bomb -- basically all of the really dangerous Items that have appeared in Springfield since its reconstitution thanks largely to the inept management of one Homer Simpson...

Snyder House Rules

A new Mission for Judge Snyder that also offers a rip on one of our favorite films, in Snyder House Rules we see the continuation of something of a running gag that centers around the Judge.

When he was first introduced to Tappers upon his arrival in town, he managed what might have been a very awkward social snap by insisting that you should remember him... Even though the chances of that are none to none.

So a new Mission whose focus is a Judge who cannot even muster up a reasonable level of fake enthusiasm for a job that, well, being honest here, once you get appointed for life the position of Judge really is not what you would call a difficult one - all you need to do is pay attention for a few hours each day while Lawyers talk and... Oh, wait, I see his point.

Snyder House Rules Pt. 1 -- Place the Minnow Pond and Send the Judge on Holiday

Heavy robes, difficult working conditions, and a schedule that would make any hairdresser feel angst, it is clearly time for Judge Snyder to take a holiday!

First though, if you have not already done so, you need to buy and place the Minnow Pond... But seeing as by this point you have had several other gap and story quests that made use of it, so yeah, you should already have one or more of those...

Next have Judge Snyder complete the following Task:

Take a 24 Hour Vacation (24h) $600 and 150 XP.

Completing this part of the Mission also results in the award of $100 and 10 XP.

Who is to day that Judges cannot aspire to greatness as a Thespian? Certainly not I!

To complete this stage in the Mission you need to have the Judge free and available and have him complete the following Task:

Try Out For a Role (12h) $420 and 100 XP.

It seems that the Judge has had a spot of success in seeking out this new hobby - or is it a second career? In any event, the Judge needs to get in shape for his role, and that means making sure that he is available and then having him complete the following Task:

Get in Shape For a Role (1h) $70 and 17 XP.

Two Extra Eyes On Springfield Pt. 7 -- Make the Citizens and City have their Day in Court!

The situation with respect to the Orwellian nightmare that has become modern day Springfield is now about to reach at least some sort of resolution thanks in no small part to the calming influence and voice of Lisa Simpson, who headed off the mob and convinced them that a Legal hearing was far preferable to the simple plan they had been seeking: to lynch the Chief of Police!

To complete this fairly complicated part of the Mission make sure that in addition to having at least fifteen (15) Springfielders available for the 12h Court Hearing, you also have Judge Snyder free to actually hear the trial, and Chief of Police Wiggum to stand as the accused -- after all you cannot have a trial without the perpetrator, the people, and a judge, right? Once you have them all lined up and available, simply have them all complete the following Tasks:

Judge Snyder: Preside Over Court Session (4h) $175 and 45 XP.

Wiggum: Attend Court Hearing (12h) $420 and 100 XP.

15 Springfielders: Attend Court Hearing (12h) $420 and 100 XP.

Continuing on to the Next Section

Obviously this is not The End -- because as far as we know there really is no point in the near future in which the words "The End" will appear with feeling. Still though, you have managed to get through yet another small collection of Levels, and for that you should feel proud.

The Rest of The Story

You may have noticed that the game has reached a level of maturity at which the development team is now adding new Content in terms of a small chunk of levels at a time. That may seem like it will slow the game way down, but actually it doesn't.

An example of why would be the experience that you may have had with the previous Level Cap (Level 37) - though really we can only describe what we experienced, which was our arrival at the Cap rather quicker than expected and then the shock and surprise to discover that in addition to the outstanding Missions already in our list and the ones we were expecting to pop once we completed those, there was an entire group of Missions from previous Levels that for whatever reason we never unlocked or flagged!

We suspect you will have had a similar experience -- so if there were Missions we talked about in earlier sections that you never actually unlocked, you can pretty much expect to see them once you reach the Cap.

Another interesting effect of hitting the Level Cap is that the game then treats XP in a different fashion than it did before -- that is to say you are constantly re-earning the XP post-Level Cap and then, when you max out the XP instead of rolling over to the next level, the game simply zeroes out the XP and you start over. Your reward for doing that is a Mini-Game in which you select from three boxes, each of which contains a different number of Donuts.

That XP that just reset is gone -- forever -- and you cannot get it back. When the Level Cap is pushed up again it is as if you never earned that XP.

No worries though - with the last major holiday events finally winding down we should see the Level Cap pushed forward again, and new Missions and Quests released. Until then, try to finish as many of the historical Missions / Quests as you can so that you begin the new levels with as clean a slate as possible.
