Final Smash - Cook Kirby:
Puts on a chiefs hat and throws your opponent into a giant pot.
This does around 35 damage, and has a good KO potential if your opponent has more then 70 damage to start. The draw back is you have to be pretty close to your opponent for it to work. But in the end you do get some random items. The more enemies you put in, the more and better items you'll get (I never would have guessed that Super Mushrooms were made out of Marios...)

Strategy:
Kirby is light and fast, but his attacks slow him down. None of them can really be used on the fly, so you'll need some luck to connect with a good one. Eat your opponents whenever they get in close, just to get them off guard. Your Final Cutter also works well as a projectile, so don't hesitate to use it as such.

Defensive Strategy:
He is short and light, so use low attacks or dash attacks to get him in the air. Watch for the Stone ability, however. It's easy to dodge but easier to forget about. His Final Cutter is also easy to see coming, and a simple jump will leave you unharmed and in a perfect position for a counter attack. Take advantage of his short range by getting in just out of his range, but just within yours.

From SuperCheats.com Forum:

Here are some extra comments from the members of our forums for Kirby...

The pink blob returns to the fray once again. Despite being one of the least popular Nintendo franchises, Kirby is made unique due to his swallow move which allows him to copy a move from another character. His small size does mean he can be knocked off-stage easily, but his ability to perform 5 additional jumps after the first makes it hard to keep him out.

Special Moves
Standard: Swallow. Kirby inhales, sucking in a nearby opponent. He can walk about with them in their mouth or either press the attack button to spit out or the special button to copy their standard special. The opponent can break out of Kirby before he spits/copies. The copy is cancelled after either a taunt, a KO or a certain amount of consecutive hits is done on Kirby.

Side: Hammer. Kirby swings his hammer sideways at opponents while on the ground. While in the air, he spins it around.

Up: Final Cutter. Kirby pulls out a sword, jumps up, spins and drops down to the ground. The sword launches shockwaves upon hitting the ground. This can be used for slight recovery if he touches the side of the platform, but it will result in KOing himself if he doesn't.

Final Smash: Cook Kirby. Kirby uses his cook ability to boil opponents in a cauldron. After stirring them in the boiling pot, they are spat out, along with several items. Since he puts on a chef's hat for this, he may lose copied abilities by performing this.

A good way to kill a flying character is to use Final Cutter and then while the game is doing its animation thing , charge one of your good attacks and when they get up use the move you were charging.

Ok, so my brother and I always play SSBB, and when he uses Kirby, he does this attack which is similar to Ike's (I think it's Ike-), where he grabs someone, and then pounds him to the ground. He always trolls me with that move. I may have missed it here.

Man, this player in team battle online uses kirby and floats on top of me and STONE! I try dodgeing it and it went to sudden death so he float up and I was like no,no,no and use snakes mid-air kick and boom dead. Kirby, your a great player but you are too popular in this game.

I have something I would like answered about Stone Kirby. I was playing as Sheik and a boy I was facing off against was using Kirby. We were on the Skyworld stage, and he decided to float up and use Stone Kirby. I was about to get hit when I accidentally pressed some button combo, causing what I think was Sheik's Up Smash. My attack hurt Kirby, I didn't take anything, and the Stone Kirby turned back into regular Kirby without its controller doing the button combo to do this. Can anyone answer this for me?

Kirby is an excellent troll for Pictochat. Use the rock attack on the edge of the platform, and you're nearly invincible.

a good combo for kirby is to use the final cutter directly on an enemy and then immediatly hitting them with your hammer

okay first of all it's kirbyciding (like suiCIDE not side) and a footstool jump is not a "toad bounce" maybe I'm just being picky but that really bugs me

also what kind of advice is "He is short and light, so use low attacks or dash attacks to get him in the air" he has one of the best aerial games in brawl how the heck is that good advice when very very few characters can beat him there? a kirby will spend 90% of his time in the air anyways and his best approaches come mostly from the air.

as far as using kirby goes the description almost makes it sound like kirby is not meant for close combat but in reality he IS a close range fighter mainly due to the fact that Final cutter isn't that great and is rarely able to outcamp much of anything... mind you it has it's uses but it's use as a projectile is largely secondary to just about everything else it does. back aerials should be your bread and butter because of it's quick speed and reach. this guide also fails to differentiate back and forward aerials. the down aerial can chain into many moves such as a grab, fsmash, and ftilt. kirby has really good grab combos with lead offs from forward throw>up aerial giving rise to some amazing combo potential. I wont go into detail here but kirby can easily chain upwards of @ off a grab at %0 (more on heavies). also inhale is not a good idea as a regular standby for close combat since it is easily outranged but makes a great surprise attack when the opponent has their shield up. also kirby does best playing offstage since his aerials make him dominate the airspace and his spik works very well (and can also lead into a footstool for a certain KO)

final cutter's biggest pro as a projectile is that it will go right through many solid objects such as the tree on the fire field of ps1 and many others. it's best use is to give kirby an attack with good range and is disjointed (outside his body) mind you it's easily countered if it's too obvious so save it as a surprise and when it's really needed

kirbyciding itself can be done in many ways
1 dying with the opponent
2 spit them under the stage (especially god if you follow up with an attack to bounce them off the stage and spike them... best on bf because the wall near the middle of the underside traps them)
3 spit them into the stage (in certain places on certain stage the starshot trajectory will change to a downwards one and the little boost the get once they break out of the star their obvious reflex to jump will line them up perfectly for a stagespike)
4 spit them away from the stage (put them out of reach of a possible recovery)
5 spit them over the edge without ever walking off the stage (sometimes their button mashing to break out can be a huge mistake and in make them fall to their doom IT'S FUNNY)
6 inhale them out of their recovery and let them break out offstage (they lose their jumps and in some cases they will lose their upb (for example: snake)dont hit them or they will regain their upb)
6.5 a foostool (yes lighter characters can foostool kirby out of the previous one but he can foostool heavies without any worry after they break out, they will gain back their upb if it was lost but it's always too late by then)

the kirbycide is not banned in tournaments btw but showing up to a tournament thinking it's an auto win will only just get you beaten horribly

I want people who pick up kirby to succeed so I felt I needed to correct this stuff XD
