Scavenger Hunt: Big Gay Al's Big Gay Cats

This sidequest can be started any time by talking to Big Gay Al in front of his red house in the eastern side of town. He’ll ask you to find his six missing cats scattered in town. Take note that this will be a long, ongoing quest since some of the cats can only be captured by using specific buddy powers, timefarts, or a combination of both - some of which are unlocked only as you progress in the story.

Big Gay Bono

This cat is sitting on a tree branch in the woodland path left of the church. Stand below the cracked branch it’s sitting on then use Timefart Pause to catch it before it leaps and hide in the bushes. Make sure to press the timefart key immediately since you’ll only have a second to react once Bono hits the ground. If miss the chance, use timefart Glitch to reverse time and try again.

Big Gay Loki

You can find this cat sitting on the ground on the right side of the South Park Mall construction site. You have to pause time to capture it without scaring it away.

Big Gay Shadow

This cat is sitting on the ground between Photo Dojo and the Playground. Make sure to approach it from the Photo Dojo side since it will immediately hide if you approach it from the playground side of the screen. Use timefart Pause to capture it without spooking it away.

Big Gay Kirby

This cat is found on a tree branch in front of Bebe’s House. Like Bono, you have to position underneath it as close as possible, break the branch with your snap n pop, then pause time as it hits the ground so you can capture it.

Big Gay Blossom

This cat is found in the upper floors of a decrepit building in the Homeless Camp area. Use Fartkour to reach the upper level of the building. Loot the Gentrifying Text from the bag in the second floor then continue ascending to find the cat sitting by the plank. It will jump off the building if you get near so make sure to use Pause to catch it. Continue with your fartkour to loot the contents of the CAF chest above and you’re done in this area.

Big Gay Bogie

This cat is located in the woods near the Canadian Border. You’ll only be able to access the area after completing the main quest Hundred Hands of Chaos. To reach the area, head to U-Stor-It facility then continue heading east. A memberberry farmer will block your path so you’ll have to prevent him from moving. Use timefart Pause then grab the nearby bucket and place it beside him. This should do the job and allow you to head to the woods.

You’ll find Bogie sitting on a branch on the left side of the path. Break the branch then immediately activate timefart Pause to capture the cat.

After collecting all the cats, report to Big Gay Al to receive the Feline Costume Sets and allow you to take a selfie with him as well. Quest complete!
