Note: Any controls mentioned in this guide refer to the Classic Style 1 and Classic Style 2 controller patterns using the Classic Controller or Classic Controller Pro. Monster Hunter Tri is playable with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk combo, but if you plan on following this guide (and reaching a higher level of play) it is crucial you use either a Classic Controller or Classic Controller Pro.

I know this sounds stupid but whenever I fight a new monster I take a lance because it has a shield, so I know what I am facing. But I am scared to fight anything that has higher attack then Rathian lollies.

To kill great jaggi easy just follow these steps
1. Use a blade and shield something with high attack power
2. Attack its side body at all times because great jaggis always turn and keep turning just to face you and it wont stop turning until it does.
3. Take a fire torch with you so other jaggis won't even come near you because there afraid of fire
4. Most imporatant part is always watch for the great jaggies movements , If it starts to puff out smoke then it will tail whip 2 times and it always will. Also the ramming head but he does twice this is extremely easy to counter as i call it a counter kill as long as you wacth its movements
Killing royal ludroth easy.
1. To gather a large ammount of royal ludroth materials such as high quality Sponges , Royal ludroth crest , and every other part just do the - A ROYAL PAIN - quest repeatily and you will get a large ammount of royal ludroth resources plus 4000 z just for completeting the quest so if you want the royal ludroth amour set then just follow this really easy
i made over 30000 z and every royal ludroth item in under 20 minutes
2. For me the best weapon to use against Royal ludroth would be a Switch Axe because switch-axe can cut the tail and break its crest and mame very easy also ending the fight early
Hi I found you're guide very useful. Thank you. If anyone is having trouble killing R. Ludroth then simply get a buster sword (iron great sword path) and attack at his tail to sever it, then at his mane to break it and finally at his crest to shatter it. By then a few hits should make him limp and a dozen or so more should kill him. I didn't even KO when I did this- it also works for...qurupeco and great jaggi.

How do I capture great jagi or get Crystal fossil in the separate level
For the big game hunting mission for the level 2 quest am i supposed to kill or capture the great jaggi.
I CAN'T KILL R. LUDDY ON SOLO!!! EVEN W/ SWITCH AXE
In the online quests for flying wyverins (Only for desserted island though sorry.) go to area 8 and if the moster (Rathian, Ratholos, and quercuop to name a few.) go to the pit with the eggs in it and break a few. the monster will come running! Monsters have a habit of doing that when their eggs are being broken.
