Recovery items are dropped by enemies upon defeat. They come in different colors; green for health recovery, yellow for warrior gauge, and blue for awakening. The size of the recovery item will determine the amount of HP/WG/AW it will restore. There’s a rare rainbow-colored recovery item that fully restores all these gauges so keep an eye for it, especially when you’re about to engage the Map’s main boss. Some recovery items can be obtained from jars scattered in the map by breaking them. Most of the time, forts and strongholds have recovery jars in them.
Aside from recovery items, defeated enemies will drop gold and some may drop materials. If you’re near them, these are automatically picked up by your character. Materials are used for creating individual Crests for your characters or to receive blessings in the Camp menu. Different enemy types drop different materials. Bosses have two possible drops, the normal “silver” drop, or the rare “gold” drop. Gold boss drops have a lower chance to drop, forcing you to repeat the mission where they appear in order to get more chances to farm the elusive gold material drops.
Notable enemies such as “officer-type” enemies (fort captain, knight, myrmidon, archer, etc) may drop weapons of varying rank and quality. You won’t be able to use these weapons real-time until you get back to the camp. During the post-battle review, you'll get a summary of the materials you have obtained for completing the mission.
