Chapter 20: Clash at the World Tree

Victory Conditions: Defeat Mages and reach Velezark.

Defeat Conditions: N/A

Anna’s Condition: Defeat 1,000 enemies.

First Memento

After reaching 1,000 kills, Anna will appear in the southwestern corner of the Map, right outside of the SW Ruins fort.

Second Memento

This will become available after finishing the main story once, and obtainable only by replaying the mission in Hard or Lunatic difficulties.

Anna’s Condition: Defeat the three Mages controlling the Wall of Darkness without any of your allies getting injured.

The three mages controlling the wall of darkness are inside closed-off forts to the NW, N, and NE. The paths leading to these forts are also closed-off which will require you to either take over the preceding forts and defeat certain enemies. Doing this task is easier in two-player mode since player-controlled characters are not considered as “allies” in this task’s context.

If you’re attempting to do this on single-player mode, I’ll suggest attempting when you have more powerful weapons and stats so you can easily deal with enemy officers and minimize the risk of any of your allies from getting damaged. A good tactic is to capture the first few forts and station your allies there while you do all the work. Ordering them to attack will increase the likelihood of getting damaged so it’s better to take care of the tasks alone. You can switch between characters as needed, with the consideration that AI-controlled allies count towards the condition so make sure to keep an eye on your allies and manually give them orders to stay out of trouble until you get the memento from Anna.

After defeating the third target mage, Anna will appear in the field to the northeast between the two forts if the conditions were met.
