Castle Sol

Time Limit: 60:00

Victory Conditions: Reach Ryoma and seize all forts.

Defeat Conditions: Ryoma falls in battle.

Anna’s Condition: Defeat 1,000 enemies.

For this mission, you won’t be able to deploy Lianna and Lissa. This Map is compact but will have several forts and a lot more enemies. You’ll have 8 deployable characters, with the usual 4 that can be controlled. Start off by making three pairs of attack units while the two solo units assigned to guard the two allied forts you’ll start off in the mission. Send one attack unit to attack the middle fort while the other two attack units each clear their respective fields.

As soon as the battle starts, enemy units will attempt to capture the allied forts so stay near and eliminate them to prevent your army from losing ground. The entrance to the courtyard and the two inner forts are guarded by gatekeepers. Defeat them in order to open the gates but make sure to take out all nearby officers as well before pushing forth.

Watch out for the ballistae forts in both sides of the castle since you’ll suffer damage from it if you get hit. As a sub mission, you have to capture the two forts controlling these contraptions to turn the weapon against the enemy forces instead.

To reach Ryoma, you have to clear the Gate Fort in the middle south first to open the first gate, then defeat the gatekeeper to open the gate to the courtyard. Once the courtyard is open, meet up with Ryoma to trigger a cutscene. After the scene, take out the wyvern riders surrounding Ryoma to open the other doors leading inside the castle.

Don’t order your units to go all out at this point yet since enemy reinforcements will appear on both the southeast and southwest part of the Map. One of the enemies in the southeast has a chest key so defeat them to get it. These reinforcement units will attempt to occupy your starting forts so head there and defend these locations. Wipe out the entire enemy reinforcement then continue seizing the remaining enemy forts. At this point, you can order your entire team to occupy other forts and engage the remaining enemy officers.

Make sure to loot the Master Seal from the chest in the alcove beside the main enemy base. When done, join Ryoma as he attacks the main enemy base. Take out the fort captain to capture the final base and complete the mission.

First Memento

After reaching 1,000 kills, Anna will appear in the southeast, beside an outpost.

Second Memento

This will become available after finishing the main story once, and obtainable only by replaying the mission in Hard or Lunatic difficulties.

Anna’s Condition: Control eight or more allied forts within 10 minutes.

Since time is the essence here, this condition can be easily achieved in two-player mode, allowing your army to actively engage threats and take over enemy forts with relative ease. The problem with AI-controlled units is that they don’t aggressively and frequently attack targets designated to them, making capturing forts take a while compared to a player-controlled character. When you’re playing alone however, you can do all the hard work as long as your controlled character is powerful enough to dispose of enemy officers and fort captains in a few hits. Once the condition has been met, Anna will appear in the northeast corner of the courtyard where Ryoma is located.
