Warrior Special

This is a powerful attack that can easily decimate a number of enemies and heavily damage tougher ones. This move is unique to each character. While the character is performing the animation of this move, he/she can’t be damaged or interrupted. However, you can use this to interrupt an enemy attack, say when you’re almost decimated by a boss combo. Proper timing of executing this move can save you in tight situations.

When paired up with another character, as long as both of them have full WS gauges, you’ll be able to perform an even more devastating, wide-area Warrior Special that drains both character’s warrior gauges but will also result with either a completely decimated boss or high kill count.

Awakening

This is the blue slanting gauge beside the character’s portrait in the upper left corner of the screen. Once activated, the character will enter Awakening Mode, which will last until the gauge is depleted. While in this mode, the character gains advantage against all weapon types, making enemies prone to critical hits. This mode also gives multiplier bonuses for large KO counts. Once the gauge is depleted, the character will automatically perform a large-scale special attack. The gauge can be filled up again by picking up blue recovery items or fighthing enemies while in a disadvantage.
