G'day G'day Tappers!
In light of the massive amount of IM's, Email, and comments online about the subject of missed Characters / Buildings / Objects / Items / Collections / Missions / Quests and etc. we bring you this all-inclusive "I Missed That Thingy" page for the Unofficial SuperCheats Guide to The Simpsons: Tapped Out.
This section of our Guide is intended to specifically address the issue(s) pertaining to missed Content from Special or Holiday Events. With that in mind, before we get to the meat of this section, we will review the various items and objects which are the seed from which the flower of regret blossoms (in other words the events and items that you missed that caused you to wonder if you will get another bite at the proverbial Apple).
First though you should understand that these items come in three basic flavors -- those being:
(1) Special and Limited Time Items, Objects, or Characters who at the time of the special or Holiday Event were actually Premium Objects anyway (which means you would have had to spend Donuts to get them in the first place);
(2) Objects that truly were limited time or rare event-only objects; and (3) Rare and Restricted Access objects that require BOTH that you obtained them during the Special Event AND in order to do that you had to complete a specific set of actions and/or quest chain before you could get them.
With all of that in mind, here is the relatively complete list of the items that fall into the category of Limited Time Holiday or Special Event Objects, Items, or Characters, presented by event, generally in the order of their appearance.
Each of the listed events includes their items, and a summary conclusion at the bottom of the listing that addresses the likelihood for the item(s) making a return to the game and why / why not...
September 2012 -- Event / Show-Tie-In
In addition to some TV Show specific tie-in Content this event primarily featured The Duff Racer as the only object that was added to the game for this event. Players were notified that a Duff Grand Prix Racecar was added to the game and presented to the players as the prize for completing a rather abbreviated quest chain that was prompted by the event.
Duff Racer -- Free Decoration Item -- It is not likely that this item will be offered again either for free or as a Premium Item due to the fact that it was both a Tie-In Event item and because it does not appear as part of any collection (the latter being the dominate criteria that has been demonstrated to be a strong motivator for an item resurfacing in the game at a later date).

October 2012 -- Halloween Holiday Event
The first official in-game Halloween and Holiday Event was both a Special Event in-game and a TV Show tie-in and as such included an array of highly desirable objects and items that were offered in a variety of ways including direct purchase for Premium and Game Currency Objects as well as Quest-based and Quest-required items.
The new objects and characters added to the game for the event include the following (with summary conclusions):
Mayan Calendar -- This Event-critical object was created by assembling the pieces of stone that make up the object and that were acquired via the completion of related quest. Other objects / characters were obtained as the result of the object-specific quest chain.
This object was NOT offered as a Premium Item in the next Halloween Event and due to the nature of how it was utilized in the original event it is not expected to ever be offered to players again. If you did not obtain this object during the original event, you will not be obtaining it at all - making the Mayan Calendar one of the true limited edition / limited time / rare / collector items or, as is currently vogue, what many players consider to be a "Veteran Reward" along the lines of "Been There, Got the T-Shirt" in sentiment.
Springfield Cemetery -- Quest-Related and Quest-Critical Object -- this structure was included as a Premium Item for the 2013 Halloween Holiday Event. It was made available during the event for purchase as a Premium Structure and was incorporated into the new Ghost-Based Goo-Focused theme and collection mechanism for the event.
Springfield Pet Cemetery -- Quest-Related and Quest-Critical Object -- this structure was included as a Premium Item for the 2013 Halloween Holiday Event. It was made available during the event for purchase as a Premium Structure and was incorporated into the new Ghost-Based Goo-Focused theme and collection mechanism for the event.
Mayan God -- NPC Character -- Completing the Mayan Calendar Puzzle resulted in the award of a new non-player-character.
The Mayan God played a specific role in the original quest and as such is NOT anticipated as a returning Premium Item in future events and was not offered in the 2013 Holiday Event despite the fact that there is a character collection for this event (all of The Characters or character costumes present in the collection and event are considered to be event-limited and it is not anticipated that they will return - ever.
Players who have them largely consider them to be Veteran Player Items (that is to say rare in the sense that you had to be a Veteran of the first year of the game to expect to have these items and objects.
Mayan Homer Outfit -- Character Costume for Existing Character (Homer Simpson) -- This character costume was part of the Holiday Episode Tie-In for The Simpsons and the game. Players who watched the 2012 Treehouse of Horror episode were able to correctly answer the quiz question and unlock this new costume for Homer.
Black Hole -- Quest Object (later converts to Decorative Limited Object) -- This object was an integral part of one of the quest chains (the one that allowed Dr. Frink to explain the existence of the alternate Springfields in a more or less scientific manner). It is NOT expected to be offered again either for free, as part pf a quest, OR as a Premium Item.
Springfield Subatomic Supercollider -- Quest-based Building -- This object was an integral part of the quest chain that includes the Black Hole (decorative) object. Due to the nature of the quest chain this is NOT expected to be offered again either as a free object, quest item, OR as a Premium Building.
Devil Flanders Costume -- Quest-based Character Costume -- this costume is attached to the decorative chain that includes the Hell-House facade for the Springfield Church and IS expected to return as a Premium Item.
Heck House Facade -- Quest-based "costume" for the Building First Church of Springfield -- This object IS expected to return as a Premium Item.
House of Evil -- Quest action-specific structure for Trick-or-Treating segment -- this object IS expected to return as a Premium Purchase Item in following Halloween holiday events.
Talking Crusty Doll -- Quest-specific connected to the House of Evil -- This NPC character IS expected to return as a Premium Purchase Object. Which is ironic and probably a waste of Donuts considering that all it does is wander around town and, when tapped on, utters a few carefully chosen phrases.
Bad Dream House -- Quest-specific Holiday Structure build using Candy Collection Mechanism -- this object IS expected to return as a Premium Object during future Halloween Events.
Strictly from the pov of objects and game additions the Treehouse of Horror XXIII Event was one of the most prolific in the History of the game so far, adding major elements to the game in the form of structures/Buildings, characters, and costumes, not to mention introducing the pattern of Limited Time or Limited Edition Items and Decorations (both for Cash and Donuts) to a level and degree that has not been matched since.

November 2012 -- Holiday Event
While this follow-on event came almost directly on the heels of the Treehouse of Horror XXIII event in terms of time (naturally since the two holidays come heel-and-toe beside each other) no attempt was made to match the massive Content offerings from the previous event in this more or less traditional take on the Thanksgiving Holiday (though with a decided Simpson's twist).
The Thanksgiving Event largely focused around limited-time Cash and Donut Decorations that could be purchased from the in-game store, along with special Parade Balloon Objects that were partly quest-restricted and that players could add to their Springfield for a price (and some effort).
Scratchy Parade Balloon -- Decorative and Quest Object -- This object MAY appear as a Premium Purchase Item at following Thanksgiving Day Events.
Blinky Parade Balloon -- Decorative and Quest Object -- This object MAY appear as a Premium Purchase Item at following Thanksgiving Day Events.
Santa's Little Helper Parade Balloon -- Decorative and Quest Object -- This object MAY appear as a Premium Purchase Item at following Thanksgiving Day Events.
Itchy Parade Balloon -- Decorative and Premium Purchase Object -- This object doubtlessly will appear as a Premium Purchase Item at following Thanksgiving Day Events.
Snowball 2 Parade Balloon -- Decorative and Premium Purchase Object -- This object doubtlessly will appear as a Premium Purchase Item at following Thanksgiving Day Events.
After the end of the Treehouse of Horror XXIII Event and the beginning of the Thanksgiving Day Event a question that most players had been asking -- what would happen to the Halloween-focused objects, Buildings, and etc. when the Treehouse Event ended was finally answered.
The answer was that objects and/or structures from special or holiday events that generated objects and/or holiday/event specific resources or monetary objects (the TH event objects produced candy or zombies during the event) transition to follow the well-established and traditional function -- that is to say they begin producing Cash and XP rather than the now useless holiday items.

November 2012 -- Episode Tie-In Event
The Wiseguys theme would later be expanded to a much larger presence in the game, but when the Penny Wiseguys Tie-In Event took place for a very brief period of days players were presented with an opportunity to obtain the character of Fat Tony for their Springfield.
Fat Tony is added to the game as a playable character with a quest chain that involves already existing characters in the game. Players who were not playing the game at the time would later be able to add Fat Tony to their town when the proper Mafia-based chain of quests was added.

November 2012 -- Episode Tie-In
This very (some would say all-too) brief Tie-In Event offered players the following small selection of add-ins to the game:
Cool Brown House -- a High-Tech Version of the low-Income home -- While it is NOT anticipated that this house will make a return, Premium version or not, most players wish it would.
Cool Homer Costume -- Selectable Character Costume for Homer -- This quest-connected new costume is, well, cool but, sadly, is NOT expected to make a return to the game. If you got it during the event you are lucky as this is another item that long-term players like to consider a "Veteran Reward" and a status symbol.

December 2012 -- Holiday Event
Bearing in mind that STO was still considered to be a new and emerging game at the time of the Xmas 2012 holiday there was much speculation about how this event would be handled with a lot of players expecting to see at least as elaborate (but possibly more elaborate) an event as that which was experienced for Halloween and, for the most part, they were not disappointed.
The following items were released into the game as part of the Christmas Event. There is no way to know how the wizards at EA will handle Xmas for 2013 and because of that, no way to know what elements will return as a normal -- even traditional? -- manifestation and what will be new. Or if it will be all new?
Due to those open questions there is no way for us to even speculate which items and objects will return as Premium Items, so rather than try we are including the list of the objects/Items/Characters that were added during the event, with the answer to the question of what will or will not return, Premium or otherwise, left as an exercise for the reader.
The following items were added to the game for the Xmas 2012 Event (not including minor objects and Decorations) bearing in mind that snow in and of itself, though it featured prominently, is not an object in that sense:
Santa Coins -- Event Currency and Object -- used to purchase much of the holiday related items and necessary for completing the various quest chains.
Santa's Sack -- Premium Item / Temporary Mystery Box Replacement -- a container filled with Santa Coins and an object (or some variation of it) that will probably re-appear in the next Xmas Event.
Holiday Tree -- Quest Item and Decoration -- The players are provided with a Holiday Tree in their Inventory that has ostensibly been recovered from Homer's idea of proper storage and that, as part of the quest the player places in their game. Bearing in mind that if you were present for the Xmas 2012 event you should still have this in your game / storage, chances are this WILL be available again.. Note that additional Holiday Trees could be purchased, as Premiums, for 75 Donuts.
Mapple Store -- Quest-structure built with Santa Coins -- This event-restricted structure numbers among the most sought after and noted unavailable Buildings in the game, having generated massive numbers of requests for it to be added back into the game.
Based on the past decision-making processes of the dev team and the massive desire within the player community for the return of this Building for the Xmas Event it is almost a certainty that it WILL return as a Premium Structure. We expect that it will at any rate.
Barney's Bowl-O-Rama -- Originally a Quest-Based Holiday Structure purchased with Santa Coins -- Since the end of the Xmas 2012 event the hue and cry was so great from players who missed their chance to obtain Barney's Bowl-O-Rama (and Barney don't-cha-know) that the dev team added the structure (and Barney) back into the game as a Premium Purchased object.
As it is currently available in the game (for purchase by Donut) it is doubtful that this structure will feature as any part of the new Xmas Holiday Event. Just saying.
Santa's Village -- Premium Structure with Quests Attached -- This was purely optional as it cost 200 Donuts so only players with deep pockets were likely to buy and own this in their Springfield, and consequently only those wealthy McPlayers would also have the special Santa Homer Costume as well.
We see it as very likely to obvious that this will return as a Premium Item.
Try-N-Save -- Holiday-Quest-Focused New Store Build -- Using Santa Coins the player is prompted to build a new Try-N-Save store as part of the ongoing Xmas Mission Chain. Since this Building remains in the game it does not seem likely that it will play any role but who can say?
Purple Funzo / Pink Funzo -- Quest-based NPC -- These overly cute Non-Player-Characters were added as a part of the holiday quest chain, with the Purple Funzo and Pink Funzo costing 750 SC and 1000 SC (SC = Santa Coins) respectively.
These characters are strictly decorative and since the Holiday Event ended were converted into Premium Characters priced at 60 Donuts and 70 Donuts respectively - which considering their lack of other value make them unlikely purchases unless you have deep Donut pockets...
Blue Funzo -- Quest-based NPC -- See the entry above for Purple Funzo / Pink Funzo. The Blue Funzo was a Premium Character at the time of the original Holiday Event, costing 50 Donuts (and it still does) being intended at the time as the token Premium member of the trio and a necessary Premium purchase if you meant to complete the three-Funzo Set... Still an unlikely buy.
Santa's Little Helper -- Quest-based NPC Pet -- at the time of the event this NPC pet cost 1,500 Santa Coins. After the event ended this NPC Pet was made available in-game for 150 Donuts. Considering that this Pet has no Tasks or Income ability attached it is not a high priority for most players.
Since this Pet is currently available in the game, it is not likely to feature in upcoming Xmas Events.
Simpson Home Holiday Facade -- A Snow-covered Simpsons Home -- This was a common-themed quest series for Buildings in Springfield to bring them into the Xmas Spirit.
Flanders Home Holiday Facade -- A Snow-covered Home -- This common-themed quest series was meant to convert the various and key Buildings in Springfield to bring them into the Xmas Spirit.
Brown House Holiday Facade -- A Snow-covered Home -- This common-themed quest series was meant to convert the various and key Buildings in Springfield to bring them into the Xmas Spirit.

January / February 2013
The traditional observation of a major Hallmark Holiday should, at this point, not be all that great a surprise to most players... Besides, something had to be done to get rid of all the snowmen and that white stuff everywhere was bringing the populace down with SAD...
In addition to bringing the Love Fest to Springfield, the V-Day Event also added a new Mini-Game to the Kwik-E-Mart in the form of Scratch-Off Lotto Tickets (appropriately named "Scratch-R" Tickets), providing players with the chance to win once every 6-hours no matter how many Kwik-E-Mart's you have in your town!
Another feature of the event is the ability to send Valentines to your Neighbor's towns...
A number of new additions to the game marked the removal of the Winter Holiday Event and this bright indulgence of the Festival of Love.
Mystery Love Box -- Costing 5 Donuts, this drop-in replacement for the Santa Coins in the form of Hearts as the new event currency, which players needed in order to partake in much of the rest of the new Content that was added to the game! That and the Mystery Love Box offered some of the decoration items that fit in with the theme.
Escalator to Nowhere -- This is a Cash Sink intended to help remove excess Money from the game -- The Escalator to Nowhere is still present in the game (at a cost of $1-Million in in-game Cash) and best yet, it serves no purpose other than to add to your town's Vanity rating!
Popsicle Stick Skyscraper -- This is a Cash Sink intended to help remove excess Money from the game -- It is still present in the game (at a cost of $2-Million in in-game Cash) and best yet, it also serves no purpose other than to add to your town's Vanity rating! Still you can thank the Valentine's Holiday Event for this!
Van Houten House -- Event Quest-Related -- while the house was originally introduced during the VDE it can still be built when your game reaches the required level following the event.
Phineas Q. Butterfat's -- Event and Quest-Related Building -- Build the special limited time Ice Cream Parlor for your town. There is a descent chance that this will be added as a Premium Item next time this event rolls around...
Howard's Flowers -- Event and Quest-Related Building -- Build the special limited time building for your town. There is a descent chance that this will be added as a Premium Item next time this event rolls around...
Sir Putt-A-Lots -- Event and Quest-Related Building -- Build the special building for your town. After the Event ended this structure was retained and made part of the Rod and Todd Quest Chain.
Shauna -- Limited Time Premium Character -- for 90 Donuts during the Event you could add Shauna, who is the only female toughy in the set, to you game. There is definitely a good chance that she will return as a Premium Character.
In addition to the above, a large assortment of VDE special decoration items was added to the game, which were purchased using the Heart Currency. These include but are not limited to special Trees, planters, an Arch, and an I Choo-Choo-Choose You Train Decoration.

February 2013 -- Episode Tie-In
As is often the case with the special events, this one was part Utility and part tie-in. First it basically shut down the VD Event, removing the special Buildings and implementing the changes to one that was retained, and added the Golden Scratch-R (a premium Version of the Scratch Lotto that you paid real-world Cash to buy but that guaranteed a pay-out in Donuts).
This brief Tie-In Event also added the following to the game:
Gorgeous Grampa Costume -- Quest-Related Character Costume -- a secret from Abe's past is that he used to be a pro wrestler. Really! Or maybe not? Either way as long as you have built the Retirement Castle you get this alternate Costume for that character.
Chances are very low that this will ever be available in the game again - so if you got it, well then lucky you! And if not, well then boo-hoo!
Gorgeous Grampa Billboard -- Premium Item -- Cost was 40 Donuts, and it was only available during the event. This town decoration item gave a 2% Bonus to Money and XP from Jobs.

March 2013 -- Holiday Event
This all too brief event added the following items to the game:
O'Flanagan's Pub -- Event and Quest-Related Structure -- To set the stage for what follows you have to have a stage and in this case the stage is the Pub! Chances are high that when this holiday rolls around again, this item will be offered as a Premium purchase.
Tom O'Flanagan -- New Character -- Comes with the Pub above. See the description for the Pub above.
Willie's Shack -- Quest-Related -- While this structure was introduced during the St. Pat's Day Event, it has been retained in the game after the Event ended so it has no need to return.
Leprechaun Character -- Object-Related -- This character was obtained by placing the Wishing Well. Chances are very high that it will return as a Premium purchase when the holiday rolls around again.
50ft Magnifying Glass -- myPad Quest Related -- This was added as the third Money Sink to help remove excess Cash from the game. The cost for this is $3-Million and other than allow you to place it so that its rays point at the Tire Fire, it doesn't really do anything.
Shamrock Topiary -- Completion Reward -- Because this decoration item was the reward for completing the Event quest chain chances are low that it will return as a Premium item.
