How do I kil the tree in the middle of the path to goldenrod other places in pokemon gold .

It's name is Sudowoodo, and it is rock type, so water or gass will own it.

Get the watering can from the flower shop and use it on the tree. Battle the sodowoodo. Catch it if you want or kill it.

Beat the gym leader, and go to the flower shop. Get the watering can, use it on the tree. Battle and catch it because it's the only one in the game.

After you beat Whitney, Go to the flower shop and someone will give you a watering can. Use it on Sudowoodo (the tree) and challenge it. It will jump through trees if you let it escape.

Actually, If you kill it at first, you can try again. Go to route 36 and the Sudowoodo will eventually show u there. That's how I caught him.
