How can I get to Cianwood City and why can't I enter in the lighthouse at Olivine City?

1st, you need to get HM 03 "surf" in eructeak city to surf to cianwood city.
2nd, I not sure which you mean about, are you means the gym or the light house in olivine city? Because since I play the gold & silver version so many times, I never have that kind of problem before.
If for the gym, you need to go in the light house and meet her at the higher floor and she will ask you to get a secret potion which you can get it at the cianwood city and pass to her. Then you will be able to meet her in the gym.

Just follow the small rocks in the left side and you will encounter some trainers,but they are not that good ,there it will appear cianwood city. . . . . . .
Same problem here, I think is a huge game bug, I did not used the water on the moving tree I used cut and I think the game crasched... I can' t even smash rocks and I m stucked not being able to procede in the game
