Red Scale is a red scale! It comes off of the red Gyrados after you battle it. Take it to Mr. Pokemon and he'll give you EXP share.

Red Scale is the item you get by capturing or beating the Red Gyrados. It doesn't really do anything. However, you can give it to Mr.Pokemon and he'll give you Exp.Share, a useful item.

Guest answered:

u can get the one and only exp share and I heard that if u use it in mystery zone u get the red gyrados as a normal pokemon caught anywhere

After capturing or defeating the red Gyrados found at the lake of rage, you can go to Mr. Pokémon's house and get the EXP. Share
