Can anyone tell me how to catch ho-oh.

The easiest way to capture Ho-Oh is to have a masterball in your backpack.

This way all you have to do is throw the masterball and you have Ho-oh.

If you don't have a masterball, don't panic. Just put it to sleep and confuse it while being asleep.

Then keep throwing either a great or ultra ball at it and eventually you'll capture it.

Use a masterball, if you don't haave one paralize freeze or put Ho-oh to sleep then damage it until it has very low health and use an ultra ball(or special ball made by ball guy). If you don't want to wast your masterball duplicate it. To duplicate it give it to your selected pokemon . Go to a poke-center and save next to the PC. Then open the PC and put the pokemon with the masterball in the box you have selected. Then change boxes, while it's saving shut it of right after it says:
SAVING... DON'T TURN
OFF THE(before POWER... appears)
If its a little into power(like the first two letters) its O.K. Now turn it on and look in your PC, your pokemon should be there with your masterball and in your inventory. Save then repeat if you want(you have to save before you repeat). This can be used to dupe pokemon and other items too.

Don't waste your masterball unless its silver version if its silver then use a masterball if its gold save it in front of it go into the battle and just start throwing every ball you have at it.
