I have played the gold and in one month I have beaten gyms of johto,kanto and the elite four but I have few problems .The trade machines don't work.They say the link has been closed due to inactivity. No kind of gamesharkcheatswork

I havent played this game in a while so forgive me if I'm wrong but I think you have to meet bill in a gym in the first world and then it's fixed.
P.S I think it's the place with komodo girls.

Perhaps it has to do with the game link? If you consider this, hopefully you still have the instructions to using your Pokemon Gold Version, because it might tell you something in there. Otherwise, it could be some element of the storyline, but I'm doubtful of that.

If you are using a GBA link cable without GBC compatability then thats the problem. But if you are talking about the Time Capsule you have to meet Bill first at Ecruteak City Poke Center then wait I more day for the Time capsule to work.
