I have two Gameboy Advances, and a Gameboy Advance link cable, and I have Gold and Crystal (both for Gameboy). Why can't I trade them between them?
 
 It says on one of them to save, then the other one says your friend isn't ready. I'm getting really mad, I can't beat any of the games I have because you have to trade between them.
 
 I also have Sapphire and Red, it won't let me trade between any of them. I also have an E=Reader, how do I use it? Can it help my gaming?

I don't know why it's not working. You can't trade between red and sapphire. But you can trade between Fire red and sapphire.

For some odd reason, you can't trade Pokemon from Gold->Crystal with a GBA link cable. I do not know why. You need a regular GB or GBC link cable.

You need to get a GBA link cable that is compatible with GBC games, otherwise it won't work. To get Pokemon from Red to Sapphire you must first trade from Red to Gold or Crystal then to Sapphire.
