I am on Gold Version and I'm on Route 40 near Olivine city and the lighthouse there when I went to see the gym leader in the lighthouse who was caring for a sick Pokemon she told me to get her some medicine please from cianwood city cut I can't get there as I don't have surf how can I get it??

What you need to do is go to ecruteak city soz bout spelling and go into the dancing studio thing. Once in there you have to battle to kimiko girls and then the man with the rhydon with give you surf.

Go to the city with the two towers in it and go into the building with the Kimono Girls and beat all of them. Then talk to the guy with a surfing Rydon and he should then give you surf.

Near the PokeCenter there's a house thing with the 5 kimono girls. If you beat them all talk to the guy with a rhyhorn and he'll give you surf.

You get it from Ecruteak city in the dance theatre and you beat al the kimono girls and a man watching who gives you surf.

Okay you find hm surf in the city where the fourth gym is then you go to a building above the poke centre when you get there, there should be a Pokemon there (should'nt be hard to find) go to back of room and fight all trainers then talk to the man near rydon he will give you surf.
