Hi, can someone tell me what the gs ball does?

ANSWERS

It is not possible to obtain the GS Ball in Gold or Silver.

However, you can obtain one on Crystal via Gameshark (one should be in the Answers columns there, you can always search).

As for Smeargle, it will learn Sketch every few levels, but Sketch replaces itself permanently with the foe's last move when used (Sketch does nothing if Smeargle attacks first, so keep its Speed low).

Always use Sketch wisely and predict what the foe will do, and then capitalise on that.

It most likely stands for Gold/Silver.

And no, Smeargle has Mediocre stats to make good use of any good attacks.

The gs ball is a ball that you can only get in the japanese version of the game, it helps you on your way to get Celebi.

Smeargle, it is alright depending on what moves you teach it by using sketch, but its stats aren't that great so I wouldn't bother, just stick with the legendaries.

It is not a real Ball. It does not truly and authentically exist.

It is possible to get, but I do not know through what means other than using an Emulater or a GameShark.

None of the codes I have for getting it works.

And furthermore, it is a bogus item.

Oh, yes, I forgot to add that "GS" may either stand for "Gold/Silver" or "GameShark".

Also, about Smeargle (before I forget about that, too) is only worth training if you can find a way to get it to learn really powerful attacks.

There are ways to get it to learn Aeroblast and Sacred Fire, believe it or not.
