I heard on a website that you can get Mewtwo in the Unown dungeon, is this true?

I think it's a rumor, but it could be true. There are too many fake rumors going around to make anything believable nowadays.

Yes. After beating the Elite Four, the Unknown Dungeon near Cerulean will be open.

That only works in the old version, Red/Blue/Yellow. It's been closed off in this new version.

You can get mewtwo from pokemon yellow/red/blue in the unknown dungeon, but since pokemon gold/silver is in the future the unknown dungeon isn't there.
