why cant i find any evoulution stones?

I've been to celedon city dept store and talked to every one on every floor talked to the shop people but they don't have any why? And how do I get them from bills grandfather

In gold you can't get them, except from Bill's grandfather. You have to show him a specfic Pokemon and he will give you one and ONLY one. You will have to copy the item. Give you a hint on the first one, it's not pikachu but it's from it's lower self. The rest are easy.

You can't get pichu in that game, so you'll have to trade from another game

You have to battle and win against 4 specif cooltrainers from the path to the indigo league when you do so get there numbers and they will call you saying lets battle so you fly there and battle them therefore you get a stone! There are 3 guys and a girl the girl gives you leafstone only shes the only one though!the boys give diffrent stones all the time!
