The Death Wish

This side mission will unlock the custom SUV called Death Wish, which is a very good armed vehicle to have early on. To start, head to the Silver Lake Trailer Park and find Merle and some other civilians bound by the cult. It will be hard to take out the peggies silently early on with your only Stealth weapon is the bow. If you start shooting the peggies, the other two hostages will be killed by Merle won’t be harmed. After killing the cultists, free Merle and talk to him. He will tell you that his beloved SUV has been taken to the cultist outpost of US Auto. You’ll have to liberate the outpost to continue with the mission.

After liberating US Auto, Merle will arrive and tell you that the Death Wish has been taken someplace else. This will update the mission and point you to Golden Valley Gas, just down the road east from US Auto.

Once you reach the gas station, you’ll find the Death Wish being manned by a cult VIP. It’s recommended to be silent and pick off the other cultists stealthily to avoid spooking the driver and drive away. There’s only a handful of enemies so it shouldn’t be hard to sneak around them perform silent takedowns.

After killing the driver, hop on the truck and deliver it back to Merle. You don’t have to leave the vehicle since Merle will hop back to the gunner seat but in case he doesn’t seem to move, get out of the vehicle for a few seconds then return. Once he’s at the gunner seat, the objective will be updated and you’ll have to bring him to the Construction Yard next.

As soon as you arrive, Merle will open fire at the cultists around the yard. Your job in the other hand, is to smash through the drug crates around the area. There nine of them in total and they stand out so they’re easily identifiable. Once all crates are destroyed, keep driving around and running peggies over until the area’s clear. The mission will be complete afterward.
