Fire in the Hole

The stash is located in the Wellington Residence, a backwater cottage to the southeast of the region, up the Orville Creek. Before heading there, make sure to bring your best shotgun since you’ll be exploring an abandoned mine. If you don’t have any, you can take the basic shotgun found right beside the Prepper note. Take out the cultists outside the cottage then find the prepper note on top of a boulder. Read it to start the search for the stash.

Head inside the cottage and destroy the floorboards covering the mine entrance. To fully explore the mine, you have to blast some blocked paths with the dynamites conveniently scattered around the area. There’s a few of them on the table near the ladder to the mine entrance.

While inside, it’s recommended to use the Ultimate Hunter homeopathic to automatically detect and tag nearby enemies, even those behind walls. The shafts are filled with Angels which you can easily dispatch with close-range shotgun blasts to the body or head. You can even destroy them instantly with dynamites. The mine shafts all lead to a chamber with flowing water so you can explore and blast obstacles until you reach that chamber. Once you reach that chamber, you’ll have to flood the area by blasting the debris blocking the stream using a dynamite. After the water rises, swim to the other ledge.

There should be only a couple of Angels on the way to the main cavern where the stash is located. Kill them and the stash is yours. To get out, use the grappling hook to climb out from the opening at the top of the cavern.
