If you want to beat it then JUST TRY this. Go to the macalania woods; go over the star path and when you get to a four-way crossroad take the top left path and walk into a clearing. There will be a scene were you walk up to a guado and have a talk with him. He will something about forgiving and forgetting. After that, talk to him four times and he'll give you a sphere (full throtell) and the garmetgrid Unereing Path. When you're on the airship go to the menu screen(triangle) and select Garmet Grid. Select Unereing Path put white mage in the bottom circle and warrior in the top. Equip Pain with Unereing Path. Now, when you're going through the Zanerkand ruins and you're in a battle and it's Pain's turn, press L1 and whichever dress-sphere you're on(Top or bottom circle) change to the other one (Left or right BUTTON). Then press X and there'll be scene where Pain changes dress-sphere. Then when it's Pain's turn again press L1 then R1 and the dress-sphere(circle) has a diferent picture in it. Press X and you will change to a special dress-sphere. Fight with this for a while and upgrade it as much as you can(It dissapears after the battle). Try to get the Sword Dance ability and use it as much as you can. A word of advice, get double and triple HP ability. But be warned, the Gardian Beast's special attack will take some HP if you don't have double or triple HP. Make sure you keep the two wing thingies healing you. So just remember, if you keep Pain attacking and the two wings healing you, you should maybe kill The Sacred Gardian Beast in about five to ten tries. Hope I Helped!!!
