Use water attacks
This is how you defeat Ifrit the easy way.
Make sure all your characters have their Special Dress spheres,and are Black Mages.Make sure they are using the Heart Of Flame garment grid,because it heals your characters whenever a fire attack is used,so the only attack that will hurt you is the Meteor Strike.Use water attacks,and if your HP gets low,(NOT LIKELY!),use a fire attack on yourself to heal,or use an X-potion.I defeated Ifrit like this,and it was easy cheesy!
