Question for Final Fantasy X-2

In blitzball I got two Kilika stairway workouts and used the on my two best players and now I can't beat the EXTREMLY good teams like the Al Bhed Psyches.

So my question is how long does it take for your players to return and when will you know.

After about 4-5 matches you can scout the players again and they can be trained more
