If it's the bit where you have to tell them the passwords you tell them:
Carved monkey for odd numbered guards
Craven Monkey fo even nubers

If you mean in the first chapter, you must either give them a password depending on the number of guards, or defeat them.

If you mean after this, when Dona and the rest of the Youth League impede your path, then you must wait until later chapters.
