Alright, I will see if I can help you Edger. Ifrit is a summoning with the power of fire. Now like fire elementals, and other monsters with fire powers, he is weak against all Ice attacks, and spells. So what you need to do is take advantage of this fact, and cast a lot of Ice based attacks on him. I cannot really help you out that much because you did not supply enough information when you asked your question. If it is not too much trouble, could you ask another question and include the levels that Rikku, Yuna, and Paine are on? As well as what dress spheres they have equipped?
Then I will be able to fully help you.
Hope this helps a little bit.

Ifrit is a Dark Aeon like that Dark Bahamut guy at the end of Ch. 2 right? Then it should be easy if you do what I did to Bahamut. Have two warriors that have learned Power Break, Magic Break, and Armour Break. Have the third character as anything you want, preferably another warrior or gunner. Have one warrior keep using Power Break and the other using Magic Break while the third character just hits him with a basic attack (save your powerful attacks for later). I did this to Bahamut and his normal attacks did like 10 damage and his Mega Flare did at most 60 damage. Now use the Warrior's Armour Break a couple of times. Now for the fun bit. Use the most powerful attacks you've got (switch dresspheres if you want) and chain them together. Keep doing this until he's dead. This method really only requires you to heal at the start of the battle.
