The HQ is where you can make preparations for your squad and choose which Missions to take. There are two prominent personnel here: the XO on the left and the requisition (supplies) officer to the right.

Talking to the Supplies officer gives you access to Buy and Sell items that will be added to your squad’s shared inventory. Always check his items as you proceed with the story since new items will be added along the way. The Special Issue menu is where you can collect any DLC you downloaded. There should be free DLCs for the game so make sure to download them and collect them from this menu.

The XO gives you three options as well. Missions will take you to the Mission Select map. Report allows you to collect rewards from completing the listed conditions. You don’t need to accept these tasks; just complete the conditions specified and they’ll be completed automatically. There’s no way to “refresh” the list so the only way you can get new tasks is by completing the listed ones. The rewards range from money, materials, and importantly, ragnite shards.

The XO also runs the ragnite Exchange option where you can trade shards for usable ragnite crystals. You have the option to trade 10 shards for a random type (and quality) ragnite, 20 shards elemental and class-exclusive ragnites, and 30 for a random high-purity ragnite. The special, rare, and high-ranked ragnites can only be acquired through this exchange so make sure to save and load when exchanging until you get that special ragnite you want.
