Abilities Guide

In Spiritfarer, not only do you have to help out Spirits by providing with their needs and requests, but you’ll also need to travel to different locations and reach new areas. Spiritfater has platforming elements in terms of gameplay, so learning more abilities along the way can help Stella out with her progress.

In this page, we’ll discuss how you can acquire abilities, what their effects are, as well as their locations. Abilities can help Stella out since it provides new features such as double jump and more. So, let’s check which abilities she can get in this game.

How to learn new abilities

When starting out the game, you’ll get to encounter Gwen as your first Spirit on board. Once she reveals her true form to you, you’ll be provided with an Obol. You’ll eventually go to an area as well called Humminberg and you’ll get to find a huge shrine. Once you have Atul or Summer on board, you’ll get more Obols from each of them as well.

If you interact with the shrine at Hummingberg, you can use the Obol in order to learn a new ability called Double Jump. There are different shrines such as the one here throughout the game, and they all provide new abilities for Stella. The abilities that you learn all cost 2 Obols each, so you’ll need to know the Shrine location, as well as have enough Obol to learn them all.

Where to get more Obol

Now that you know how to get new abilities, you’ll wonder where you can get more Obols. Here is the list of ways you can get more of them in Spiritfarer:

You can get 1 Obol for each spirit that goes on board your ship. Bruce & Mickey give 2 Obols making it 12 total for all spirits. (Giovanni isn’t included).

You can get 1 Obol in Edgeborough Lane from the Racoon Inc. Shop (2000 Glims)

You can get 1 Obol from Hades after you have sent 8 Spirits through the everdoor. (Bruce & Mickey counts as one).

You can get 1 Obol from Greymist Peaks to the right side of the Dash Shrine.

Spiritfarer Abilities List

Each ability found in the game can be learned from a specific shrine. The coordinates of each shrine are different, and there are also hidden ones that will be shown in a map. Take note that you don’t really need to learn all of these abilities in order to finish the game, but they can help you out with your platforming progression.
