Summoning rain clouds that cover all the sky, Kyogre is said to have caused great deluges to expand the sea. At the end of its mortal battle with Groudon, it is believed to have fallen into a long slumber deep at the bottom of the ocean.

Category: Sea Basin Pokémon

Type: Water

Ability: Primordial Sea

Height: 32' 01"

Weight: 948.0 lbs.

The energy that fills its body spills forth as seawater. Its body composition becomes nearly a match for seawater, and its blue skin glows like a sapphire. Its body is half-translucent, and a golden light glows from within it.

Through the process known as Primal Reversion, Kyogreregains its immense power and becomes Primal Kyogre. It gains the Primordial Sea ability, and gets a huge boost to its Attack Stat. Its already high Sp Atk and Sp Def stats get considerably increased as well without lowering other stats. It's size after transforming is worth noting as well.

Primordial Sea is Kyogre's exclusive ability. This ability changes the weather condition to an oppressive heavy rain. It is not possible to change the weather condition during heavy rain (leaving aside the efforts of an exceedingly small number of Pokémon). It's effects are similar to Rain Dance with the additional effects below:

  • The weather stays active as long as the ability-bearer remains in battle, but stops when the Pokémon is switched out.
  • Fire type attacks "fizzle out" and have no effect.
  • The heavy rain cannot be replaced by a regular weather condition - in other words the moves Hail, Rain Dance, Sunny Day, and Sandstorm, and the abilites Drizzle, Drought, Sand Stream, and Snow Warning will fail.
  • The abilities Cloud Nine or Air Lock are still able to bypass the effects of Primordial Sea

Origin Pulse is Kyogre's exclusive move. This slams foes with water massed into ballistic orbs which can hit multiple opponents.
