Before reaching Slateport, you'll be dropped off in Route 109. There are new trainers in the area as well more hidden items. Below is the list of hidden items you can find in the area. Take note that some of the hidden items can only be acquired once you have Surf.

5: Great Ball | In front of the beach house. Look for the spot in front of the stacked umbrellas. |

You'll find a couple of kids between two blue umbrellas near the southeast of the shore. Talk to the girl to get a Soft Sand. Head to the northwest of the beach house to find a PP Up.
To the northwest of the beach, you'll find the Seashore House. Inside, you'll find a lot of trainers that you can challenge by talking to them. After defeating all the trainers, you'll be awarded with six cans of Soda Pop. You can now buy this recovery item for 300 a piece.
