The Road to Nice

Thank you for printing this page from www.SuperCheats.com. Remember to come back to check for updates to this guide and much more content for Forza Horizon 2

Added:

With the three events and the Showcase completed you are now ready for your second Road Trip - this time to the seaside port city of Nice! When you arrive - in your Ferrari - Ben enters you in the Supercar Events.

You will also unlock the Achievement: Welcome to Nice (25G) Arrive in Nice for the first time.

You don't actually have to race in those though, because the Autoshow is now open (unlocked) so you can buy a new car if you like - or not - but before you say “Not” I need to remind you that THIS is where you get to add all of those Cars you got for free as bonus cars for whatever version of the game you bought - plus VIP if you have it.

Enter the Autoshow and page through the Cars - the ones with a 0 Credit price tag are the ones you got as bonus cars. You may as well go ahead and add those to your Garage now, right? That way you have them and you have started to build your Garage. Win-Win!

If you purchased the Day One Edition and you have VIP Status you should be able to add the following Cars to your Garage now:

  • 1949 Mercury Coupe (Cult Classics)

  • 1956 Ford F-100 (Cult Classics)

  • 1967 Ferrari 330 P4 (Classic Racers)

  • 1968 Abarth 595 esseesse (Cult Classics)

  • 1987 Buick Regal GNX (Retro Muscle)

  • 1993 Renault Clio Williams (Retro Hot Hatch)

  • 1997 Land Rover Defender 90 (Offroad)

  • 2003 Ford Focus RS (Modern Rally)

  • 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV (Sports Utility Heroes)

  • 2012 Lamborghini Urus (Sports Utility Heroes)

  • 2013 Donkervoort D8 GTO (Extreme Track Toy)

  • 2014 Tesla Model S (Super Saloons)

  • 2015 Ford Mustang GT (Modern Muscle)

And of course you already have the following:

  • 2003 Ferrari Challenge Stradale (Modern Supercars)

  • 2011 BMW Z4 sDrive35is (Sports Cars)

Adding the first of your free Cars will unlock the Achievement: That New Car Smell (10G) Buy your first car.

The Supercars Championship at Nice

I mentioned at the start of this section that once you arrive at Nice you can actually choose the Championship Group you race - but I also mentioned that we would be following the integral story that is present in the game, so we will not be changing classes but rather will run it as presented, which means using the prize Ferrari to do the Supercars Championship.

If you deviate here, your story will not follow the Guide - at least in terms of the races. So if you plan to use the guide, you may not want to do that.

The Shoreline Sprint Supercars Race

The Shoreline Sprint - Modern Supercars Sprint Race (6,516 Cr. / 4,344 XP)

A Sprint Race is just what it sounds like - a point-to-point race in which you want to get to the end as fast as you can as clean as you can - which is why they closed the road to traffic for this one.

First Place is worth 20 Points, Second 16, and Third 14. After you complete this race the game will add the Messina Sprint race to the game.

The Circuit Grandiose Supercars Race

Circuit Grandiose - Modern Supercars Circuit Race (11,732 Cr. / 7,821 XP)

A classic circuit race, you must complete 3 laps as you battle your way through the pack to take the lead, and then focus on the corners and the track.

First Place is worth 20 Points, Second 16, and Third 14.

The Promenade Street Supercars Race

Promenade Street Race - Modern Supercars (5,112 Cr / 3,408 XP)

The Street Race style of racing is just that - a race with a pack on regular streets in which there is traffic present. So you have to battle your way through the pack in this point-to-point race while trying to avoid traffic (and large car-smashing objects of course.

First Place is worth 20 Points, Second 16, and Third 14.

The Messina Sprint Supercars Race

Messina Sprint - Modern Supercars Sprint Race (5,524 Cr / 3,683 XP)

Another point-to-point Sprint Race, the route winds through the city offering a rather challenging run. This was our first official race in rain conditions - and of course it is the fourth and final race, so at the end of it all of the points are added up to see where we place and whether we win the Championship. Of course we do!

First Place is worth 20 Points, Second 16, and Third 14.

That scores us the Nice Massena Modern Supercars Championship, and we unlock the Achievement: Rain Master (10G) Complete your first race in the rain.

During the first 30 days of the game (basically October) if you took the time to buy a few Cars and the free ones that came with your package, you may also have unlocked the Challenge: Building up a collection - Buy 20 Cars this month.

After winning the Championship you get a message from Ashley - to meet her at the blue “P” Marker on the map.

Nice Massena Car Meet

When you arrive at the Car Meet Ashley is waiting for you to tell you all about it. Well, tell you some - but then she gets a text and has to split.

After that the game will put you into Matchmaking Mode and look for another player online for you to race against. You can either stay there and wait for it to match you up - or you can bail, head back to the Hub and continue on the next leg of the Roadtrip - it is your call!

Hi;
What do I do if I missed one race at Nice? I ran all three races but from the start I only got three, not four. How can I get the fourth race? All my friends are racing the next faces of the game but I'm still stuck in Nice.
