Last Updated:

Forza Horizon 2 for Xbox One has 50 Achievements worth a total of 1000G. None of the core game Achievements are Secret.

Note that there are also Challenges (they do not award G) that are added by Turn 10 throughout the history of the game. Challenges are basically just what they sound like - special actions that do not include G but offer the player a challenging task to complete;

All Your Race Are Belong To Us 2.0 (50G) Complete all 168 Championships.

You have to work at this, going back and racing the types you did not do during story play.

A Wild Drivatar Appears (10G) Win 3 Head to Head Races against Drivatars with a Bounty on them.

You will need to actively seek out unlocking this one.

Bragging Rights (10G) Beat Friends or Club Members on any 20 Speed Cameras.

Once your mates start playing and making times / speed records for these this should come automatically when you beat one of their records.

Car Lover (20G) Have 50 Cars in your Garage

This is unlocked for discovering (driving along) all 315 Roads in the game. There are two ways you can get this - either play through the game and then, after you finish it, seek out the roads you never drove on, or you can do what we strongly suggest you do and seek out all 315 roads Before You Begin the campaign proper. Either way this is one of the Achievements you have to seek out, it does not come naturally.

Kick the Bucket (10G) Scratch 15 Items off your Solo Bucket List.

This will eventually unlock as you play through campaign.

License to Skill (10G) Earn 5 Skill Points.

This will automatically unlock as you progress through the story, however if you took our advice and unlocked all of the roads BEFORE you began the proper racing campaign, it will be among the first handful of Achievements you unlock!

Loyal (25G) Earn 500,000 XP for your Club.

Either form a club or join one, then race online and gain XP for your Club!

Another side of Online Play - race in Team Events to unlock this.

That New Car Smell (10G) Buy your first car.

The Train's in Vain (10G) Beat the Train in a Horizon Showcase Event.

This will eventually unlock as you play through campaign.

Wanderlust (10G) Complete a Road Trip.

This is unlocked automatically as the promoter sends you off to the Qualifying Race, as the trip from the Festival Site to the Race Site counts as a Road Trip!

We Meet Again! (20G) Win a Showdown at every Car Meet.

Bear in mind that you do not reveal (and gain access to) all of the Car Meet spots until you have visited and unlocked the Achievement for visiting each location for the first time. Once you have done that though, all you need to do is score a win at each of the Car Meet sites/races.

This will eventually unlock as you play through campaign though you may have to work at it if you are not a car hog :)

Yellow Wristband (10G) Obtain the Yellow Wristband.

This is unlocked after you deliver the special Cars to the Festival Site, at which time you are offered your choice of three cars and then sent to do the qualifying race. You needed to place in the Top 3 in order to obtain this all important Wristband!

Yes We Can (30G) Complete 25 Bucket List items co-operatively.

These are the Bucket List events you will do online with mates.

You Are Playground Games (40G) Complete 100 Playground Games Events.

If you are planning on getting Unicorn Cars this is a natural for you anyway - but basically you should add the Forza Hub / Forza Rewards App to your game via the Social Tab, then be sure to check it daily. The events usually happen on weekends but that is not to say that they cannot happen during the week!

Changes to the Achievement System

As of the 20 October 2014 Xbox One Update the display system for Achievements on the LIVE Network has been significantly altered to make it more informative and a better integrated part of the social side of the LIVE Social Network.

Previous to the update when you selected an Achievement that you had previously unlocked, you were shown the Achievement details and Gamerscore. For ones you had yet to unlock you were shown a large round completion meter that indicated the percentage you had already completed, and that left to go.

Following the update, the display system and the information it offers has been modified to be more informative in a social manner..

For Achievements already unlocked the player is shown the Name and description of the Achievement, as well as the Gamerscore amount it is worth and a green bar that is full - which represents your completing it. On the right-hand-side of the screen is a new display element: the Recently Earned Box. This shows you when you unlocked the Achievement by presenting a line with your Gamer Picture/Icon, and the Unlocked Date.

Below that line are the notices for any of the mates on your Friend List who have also unlocked that Achievement, and when (the date) they did so.

So for example, for the Purple Wristband Achievement, I see that I unlocked it on 10/19/2014, while the only other person on my Friends List - Mr. Ba1loonHands unlocked it on 10/6/2014.

When I look at Achievements that I have not yet unlocked, it shows the same basic information but on the left-hand side it shows my progress by percentage towards unlocking it, and on the right, any of my mates who have unlocked it and when.

What it does not show is the progress percentage remaining for any mates on my Friend List who are still working on but have not unlocked that Achievement.

This new system is actually very useful in a number of ways - for example it helps you to see who else is playing the game by simply picking an automatic Achievement like the Welcome to Horizon Europe Achievement. That shows you who unlocked it and when of all the mates on your Friend List.

So for example when I look at that on my Xbox One, I see the following information:

  • YvonneBF Unlocked on 10/3/2014

  • Simpleidiotass Unlocked on 10/2/2014

  • Mr Ba1loonHands Unlocked on 9/30/2014

  • Recnef Unlocked on 9/22/2014

From that I know that I was the only one on my Friend List who got the game from Microsoft prior to the release date and actually played it prior to the release date (I happen to know that some of my mates who are also games journos did get the game around the same time I did, which was 20 September, but never got around to playing it right away).

I can then select one of the listed Gamertags on the right - say Simpleidiotass - and it automatically puts me into the Compare Games System inside the Forza Horizon 2 Entry for Xbox One, and shows me the status of Simpleidiotass and their Achievement progress.

So I can see that they have been playing for 5 hours compared to my 132 hours, and have a 2% progress compared to my 17% progress. They have unlocked 8 Achievements compared to my 36, and if I scroll to the list of the specific Achievements, I can see what their percentages are both for the ones I have unlocked but they have not, and the ones we both have not unlocked.

So if I were a competitive player - and believe me those exist! - I would then have a pretty good idea of where they stood compared to me. Note that I know that there are people who value this information because I very often receive messages from some of them smack-talking me, telling me how badly I suck, or demanding to know how I got the game weeks before it officially released, and threatening to turn me in for hacking the game.

Verdict:
Very Helpful
OK
Not Useful
